bah!

DeusEx<Half-Life<Half-life2<GIR:rolleyes:

some girl in class had a GIR puppet!
and she draws pretty much like Johannen Vazquez!

and there's a guy in class that is married, and has a 6 months baby, and he's 17!!!

Ha. You're so narrow minded. You remind me of the really stupid people at school who don't like Deus Ex because they don't understand it.

Let's see...

1/ How do you know if it's better if you've never played it? That's just stupid.
2/ You've started slating Deus Ex since I posted saying I was looking forward to Deus Ex 2 more than Half-Life 2.
3/ How do you know if HL2 will be better than HL and Deus Ex? It's not even out! Yes, the chances are bloody high it will be an incredible game, but you can't be 100% sure.

So two out of the three games you are rating in that list you've not played. Surely I'm not the only one that sees that doesn't make sense.

To MtlAngelus and SargeMcCluck:

I have played both HL and DeusEx, and belive that they are both prety good. However, technologicaly the HL is somewhat superior and it has a 'smoother' story line. I am not sure how they compare in multiplayer. HL2's engine is far superior to anything else curently on the market or on late stages of development. Even if the story and gameplay in both single and multiplayer will be horible, the HL2 is still the first on the list since it will be moded and there will be good mods. In the long run it is almost impossible for it to be worse then either HL or DX.

Today was the first day of this school year...

English seems okayish.

History, well, it's history, what more must I say?

Geometry - cool teacher, easy homework, gave extra credit on the first (easy) assignment, my favourite class.

Science - the teacher glares at me. Plus we're doing a lot of math. Although science was my fav. class last year, it'll be one of my least this time.

P.E. - YUCK!

Spanish - Talks in Spanish all day. Nobody understands a word he says. Then he gives us a worksheet that's in Spanish. They're supposed to be TEACHING us the frikin' language!

You posted pics of Half-Life 2. I said that I was going to prefer Deus Ex 2. You said Half-Life was better than Deus Ex. You started.

The thing with you is, you slate Deus Ex without having played it, and you refuse to even think it might be good. I've played and completed both many times, and played many mods for both. Both are great in their own ways. Deus Ex is more "adult", with more complicated stuff, RPG elements, a much darker and complex storyline. Half-Life has better online support, a larger community, and better mods.

I prefer Deus Ex, but that's because I've played both. You can't be sure whether you hate Deus Ex because you've not played it.

Odd. I could swear that Half-Life used an old quake engine, while Deus Ex used the unreal engine. The unreal engine is (imo at least) better than the quake engine. Especially when Deus Ex is a newer game so uses NEWER technology.

As for the storyline, where did you get in Deus Ex? The main point of it *is* the storyline. The storyline is what made all the game reviewers in magasines go completely insane and rate it incredibly high. Saying the HL story is smoother than the Deus Ex one is like saying that the graphics in the original half-life are better than half-life 2 - Eg bollocks.

Edit: Evil quotes..

The DX have not taken the full advantage of the engine, but the HL realy pushed its engine to the limit and by that surpassing DX.

I went to my first cricket match today - Ammanford v Skewen in the South Wales Cup Final. We went because dad's company sponsors Ammanford.

Ammanford won very narrowly. Skewen were coasting with just 12 runs needed from three overs, but they had a farcical batting collapse with run-outs and skied catches everywhere.

Bizarre Fact #154:

The word "penguin" is one of the few words in the English language to have come from Welsh.

Welsh sailors landed on an island with a snow-capped mountain, a mountain with a pen gwyn, or "white head". On this island, they found some ungainly-looking large, black, flightless birds, which they named after said mountain.

These birds were actually Great Auks (a now extinct species similar to penguins), however the next time they came across similar birds (proper penguins this time), they used the same name again. And so it stuck.

Our current methods of farming are pointless and wasteful. We should use more of that hydro...something technique. Then we can grow plants stacked on top of each other and in a 5+ story building that would be so much more efficient as the plants would only have a to be a few feet above each other. Plus it means people could control the climate and grow exotic food anywhere.

Our electrical ways are also horrible. I don't see why we can't have a huge room with a giant fan, a fan which powers dozens of those wind power generators and creates more electricity then it uses. It uses its own electricity to power the fan. Seems much more reliable and doesn't destroy resources.

Edit: Even better would be if the room was torus (donut) shaped and all throughout where the generators and the fan would bring that air around and around and around...

I suggest vertical cilindrical towers that will have a source of light along the senter and plants growing on inner walls. Each tower will take up just a few hundreds of square feet, but will have a lot more space to grow plants inside. You can build hundreds of such towers next to each other and you can even put them undergound and build cities on the top. That is the way of the future.

If anyone cares you can get a utility for editing the performance of aircraft at http://www.abascuspub.com/fsd/catalog/s372.htm

Note: Go into the CFS directory\aircraft, and make backups of the folders any aircraft you edit. You may want to frequently make backups of anything you're doing as it's way too easy to screw over your entire project by editing something you think is something else.:p It's also a big help to have CFS in a window (Alt Enter) so you can immediately test your changes.

Personally, I can't see why people find wind generators unsightly. I think they look pretty nice, and they set off the landscape quite well.

Tidal power, then :p.
I am going to insist that it is still a form of nuclear energy:

First there was a Big Boom (which is like a very, very big nuclear explosion). Then the galaxies and stellar systems have formed. Because of their original high potential energy, they started spinning around eachother (purly statisticaly). The tidal waves on Earth are caused by the rotation of Earth arround the Sun and the Moon around the Earth. Therefore by using tidal waves we are still using the energy accumulated from the big nuclear explosion.

The big question is: "Does something have to begin?" and "Can something not *have* a start?". We're used to a beginning and an end for everything but does this have to have a start? Even though new elements can form, how could they form if there was nothing threre?. Don't get me wrong I believe in the big bang theory but im puzzled about what happened before it.

First there was a Big Boom (which is like a very, very big nuclear explosion).I'm not sure you can call the Big Bang a nuclear explosion.

But I'm prepared to accept that the matter from which the Moon (the major protagonist in tidal matters) is created from matter formed in nuclear explosions at the heart of a star.

Let's redefine nuclear power to be "power derived from nuclear reactions that occur on the surface of this planet, in this current time frame"

Don't get me wrong I believe in the big bang theory but im puzzled about what happened before it.Nothing. It just happened. I'm buggered if I know why, but I guess as there was no time for it to happen in, I guess it could happen any time. I imagine there's a chance of something like 1 in, say, a googol of a universe suddenly springing into existance with no space or matter around to kickstart it, and because there was no time, everything happened at once, including this highly improbable event. And so the universe started up.

Let's redefine nuclear power to be "power derived from nuclear reactions that occur on the surface of this planet, in this current time frame"
As far as defenitions go, this one is not very good. First of all "this time frame" will be non-inertial. Are you happy with a non inertial frames of refference? I am not, they are a pain in the butt. Seccond, what do you mean by the surface? I know you don't mean the geometrical object, because it is infinetly thin, and no reactions will occur within it. So you must allow for some depth/height.

I just installed Firebird myself, and was wondering how to get Flash to work. Here's what I did -- first, I went to a site utilizing Flash that redirects me to the appropriate download site. (www.garfield.com works well.) I download the installer, and when it asks me to "select a Netscape-compatible browser", I go to browse the folders manually, then I select the \MozillaFirebird\Plugins directory. It may claim that it can't detect the plugins directory, but as long as you install it there, it should work fine.

So, when he fell asleep around 7:00 AM, we started piling things on top of him....it was rather amusing to watch him to try to get up. :D He's a really heavy sleeper.....we put his hamster in his ear and he didn't even move! (I'm not kidding!) And, most of all, the Official Worms3D demo I brought on a CD didn't work because his computer's a scrap heap.

That kid has some issues, with electronics. Either that, or he needs to get outside more...

I went to a sleepover that sucked: The kid forced us to play the video games he wanted to play, and whenever we did something else, he would say "Come back! That's disturbing me!" and give some crazy reason why. When I was playing GameBoy, he turned it off and when I asked him why: "It disturbs me, I can feel the electrical vibrations." (Really, that's what he said!) So, when he fell asleep around 7:00 AM, we started piling things on top of him....it was rather amusing to watch him to try to get up. :D He's a really heavy sleeper.....we put his hamster in his ear and he didn't even move! I found a 1 cm red back jumping spider (http://utahpictures.com/images/KesslerPeak/smredspid3.jpg) in the house today. I let it go, but now I wish I'd kept it... (It'd live a good life in a (empty) 10 gallon aquarium with food being put right in front of it)

Actually, it's not really that annoying if you know a little trick... (no K^2, it's not something about decoding the whole net and hack into the creator's computer and give him a virus that eats up his web page while creating a script that loops that message on his webpage on his computer)

I wasn't taking any risks. It could have been set up so that enter on the fully loaded page would refresh it - and we wouldn't want that. Besides, at the time I decided to start holding it the page hadn't fully loaded, so Escape stopped it even trying to display them all.

They had a lockdown at school today. Kept us in for an hour! Some idiot robbed a bank near the school! (Yes, he was armed!) And everybody freaked out and there were cops and helecopters all over the place! I was bored and ended up playing worms on isometric dot paper......its pretty cool! On the other hand, it threw my schedule way out of whack! Grrrrr.....

that reminds me, once on 9th grade some people from other school came cause they wanted to "kick our *sses"(for some unknown reason) and they wouldn't let us get out of the school
it was quite fun, cause some people in my class were planning on having an actual fight with them(and even bring up their "gangs"), some others were scared, and the teachers were going from one side of the school to another, calling the police( ) and making us stay in the classroom

one teacher was praying with his bible in his hand!:p

then after a while they left and we were able to go back to our homes

I caught the spider! I'm pretty sure it's the same one as it was just 12 ft away.

I'm in a really good mood now.

I may make another section to SPGames like I did with the pneumatic cannons.

Some idiot robbed a bank near the school! (Yes, he was armed!) If he hadn't been armed, it would probably have gone like this:

ROBBER: This is a muck-up!
CASHIER: Don't you mean a stick-up?
ROBBER: No, a muck-up. I forgot my gun!

Ah... the old ones are the worst...

isometric dot paper
I used to love that stuff at comp. You could do 3D drawings on it, and all sorts of neat tesselations...

Can you play Worms on it? Hmm... interesting...
