Yeah, I do like a good feel-good tune like that, especially earlier on in games, but I'm also a big fan of darker and more severe tunes that come in later on. The Mega Man games usually have good ones.

There is no spoon.
Some people would say that this makes it very difficult to eat soup. But you have to remember that there is no soup either. You might then ask how is it that after you eat it you are not hungry anymore. And these of you who are paying attention have probably allready guessed that there is no hunger either. So next time you feel hungry, remember that it is just an illusion, and even if it isn't, there is nothing you can do about it, because there is no spoon.

Do you have Ad Aware?
I had a dream about quantum universes. I’d go through one story, then I’d go to another, and one thing would be different from the “master” story that would change the outcome. I woke up to find that when I did something, like sit on the curved edge of the tub to pet the cat, I kind of had a “physic” vision in my minds eye of me slipping backwards and hitting my head on the other edge. What???

Do you have Ad Aware?sounds more like Automatic Updates. if you don't restart, it sodds you off with the same "Restart now?" message every minute. though it never gave me any countdown.

yes i have Ad-Aware. though it seems IE has got (don't know how, i only use it for gmail) some sort of Adware that Ad-Aware doesn't detect/remove and seems to randomly (as in, ramdom times) create stupid shortcuts (Casino, Gambling, XXX, etc.) in my desktop and IE Favorites folder. it also lays on the hdd in C:\Program Files\DOWNLOAD MESS DATE (yes, in caps) and i can't delete it because it's in use, though i can't find the sod in the Task Manager.

Try updating the reference file, or you could report it to ad-aware so they can figure out what it is if you have something that isn't in the referance file.

Restart in safe mode, and delete it
That woked with me once I got something similar to that installed(it created a new random folder like every 10 minutes, and it made the pc run sloooow and it wouldn't let me delete it cause it was "in use", by the time I found it there were like 100 folders with a similar name each)(all in caps too :p)

OMG there's a Doom 3 patch (http://www.doom3.com/update.asp)! will this be the one that will finally fix my problem? i hope so :)
my only problem is:
Note on previously saved games - This update will NOT make previous single player saved games useless. When loading a saved game, or continuing from your last auto-save, you will start at the beginning of that same map, with the inventory that you had going into that map, fully intact. Using this update will reset the Nightmare skill setting. If you were playing in Nightmare mode before applying the 1.1 update, you will need to re-enable it by pressing ctrl + alt + ~, and typing 'g_nightmare 1' (no quotes) at the console (for more information about how to enter the console, please see the readme file). Then save the game and reload that new save for Nightmare mode to work properly.well, i guess restarting a level beats not being able to finish the game. but will it work? stay tuned to find out ;)
Try updating the reference file, or you could report it to ad-aware so they can figure out what it is if you have something that isn't in the referance file.i have the reference file updated. how do i report it?
Restart in safe mode, and delete iti'll have to try that, though it'll probably return more powerful. the first time it showed i could delete it, now it returned and i can't delete it. next time it'll probably be a virus :p

"Recent News: A car went out of control and crashed on highway A2. A passing pickup truck stopped and the driver tried to help the guy that crashed. What did the guy do? Beat the crap out of the "helper" and toof off in his pickup truck. When Police arrived at the scene, they only found the crashed car and the helper knocked out on the road."

It's a good game, but it's very short. Only 5 - 8 hours or so (depending on how you're playing).

If you play like me (screw everything, just kill, kill, run, run, kill) it's 4 - 5 hours. If you play more like 'explore, explore, explore, kill, explore, explore, explore, fiddle around with physics, explore,' it's around 8 - 10 hours.

I have around 700 MIDIs, around 400 computer game ones and around 170 Sonic ones.

If a post is edited the original is lost forever. I don't know if Sel can look at it.

If you edit a post quickly (even if someone's seen it) it doesn't add the "edit by" line unless you give a reason for editing. I don't know what happens if a mod edits someone else's post that quickly. Possibly it lets it go through. That would be amusing.

We can read deleted posts. Personally I think users should be able to see their own deleted posts and, if it was them who deleted it, undelete them. This would also allow them to read reasons given by mods who delete their posts (but not reverse the decision).

Actually, according to quantum theory, experience is quantised into discreet packets called "senions".

Not a tip but more so of a request, Paul find me a pet shop in the Ontario province which sells Hamsters for cheap, I'm too lazy to do actual research. Can't find one, but I have found something mildly disturbing:

OTTAWA — The Public Health Agency of Canada is warning Canadians in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and northwestern Ontario who have purchased a dwarf/pigmy or regular hamster in the past three months of a potential health concern.

Ill hamsters from a pet distributor in Manitoba have tested positive for Type B tularemia. It is a rare and usually mild disease in humans that can be treated with antibiotics. In rare cases, some forms of tularemia can be fatal.

The purpose of this advisory is to ask people who have purchased a hamster in the past three months to contact their health care provider if both they and their hamster have experienced illness.

"We believe the risk to human health is low, but if people have sick hamsters and are feeling ill themselves, we want them to advise their health care provider," Dr. David Butler-Jones, the Chief Public Health Officer of Canada, said in a release.

Ill hamsters, along with other small mammals -- including chinchillas, guinea pigs, and gerbils -- that were included in shipments with the hamsters, were sent to pet stores in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and northwestern Ontario. At present, there is no indication of illness in the other animals.

The British Columbia Centre for Disease Control, Alberta Health and Wellness, Saskatchewan Health, Manitoba Health, the Ontario Minister of Health and Long-term Care and the Public Health Agency of Canada are working together closely on an investigation.

weather here seriously can't make up his mind. you see heavy rain and wind outside so you take an umbrella and a coat. by the time you're outside the rain has ended and it's sunny and calm. so you decide to leave the umbrella and coat at home and by the time you're home, it's raining again. and so you go get them again and it starts to rain. etc.

Glod darn it! I gave my mum a list of computer parts to pick up, but I forgot to tell her to get 2 sticks of RAM.

Even worse, the power supply I want is only available online, but it's out of stock. And it needs to be MATX (Micro ATX) instead of the usual ATX, so I can't just get a different one.

But I got my 128MB ATI Radeon 9200 PCI video card!:D

anyone knows how to get Opera to show a page BEFORE it fully loads? like, show the page as it loads, as it should, instead of having to wait for every kind of pointless crap (like ads) to load so the page shows up?
specially annoying when the pointless crap doesn't load so you get stuck there and have to hit Stop and sometimes Refresh for the page to show. or when a flash movie has loaded and is playing, BUT YOU STILL CAN'T SEE IT BECAUSE SOMETHING ELSE IS LOADING!

Buy a brand new computer for myself, several musical instruments, and probably some music classes
Sell magizines, yard work, part-time-job, buy one of those M&M's fundraiser thingies.
Yard work won't really work here because most houses don't have a yard around here, the yard is quite small for them to care or they already have someone working for them on that
And in some cases, they would rather do the work themselves than paying someone to
Selling magazines, that ain't that much a good bussiness around here
Part time job, already got one, doesn't pay much at all
M&M fundraiser thing, er.... not sure about that but I'm sure it ain't gonna work

He's been trying to sell that terrain for 2 years, and for some reason he believes he's gonna sell it in less than one month(he probably talked to god, who knows)
What was your solution suggestion?
My mom's income, that is the rent of 2 locals is barely enough to pay up for monthly expenses, and my dad income who knows what he's spending it in, because he barely gives any money, he just every now and then brings something to the house(usually things we don't want or need)
So If they merged those 2 incomes, and any decission about what to spend on was taken by both my parents, or even us included, I'm quite sure it would suffice to live well without any further problems, but he refuses to do this, because he thinks he shouldn't be asking us permission to use his money

Speaking of which, what happens if you destroy all 12 devices? Nothing? To beat the game you just need to complete T'leth, and to get T'leth you just need to unlock the Leviathan and the T'leth mission info, which you should get with a live alien commander.
even if you destroy all the alien colonies in the world, the game automatically creates a new one on a random place so that if you still haven't gotten a commander from one, you always have a colony to get one from. and so that you always have a colony to keep you busy.
so, to put it shortly, if you never go to T'leth, you can play the game forever and ever and... well, you get the picture :p

btw, if you have a REAL lot of time in your hands, you can complete alien colony missions by killing all the aliens instead of just destroying the symonium device. that way you recover everything in the colony.

I mean the artifact sites. The ones that appear on the map as pink crosses instead of squares. The UFOPedia says there are 12 of them. Probably nothing happens - you just don't find any more or something.

I took a base once by capturing every alien alive in an attempt to find the commander. Of course I didn't have enough Alien Containment facilities to hold them all and the commander wasn't one of the ones it kept. I later managed to get just a commander. I also took an artifact site by killing all aliens and leaving the device intact, hoping to capture some great technology, but all I got of use was 515 aqua plastics. (which I sold)

Speaking of live aliens, how do you capture big aliens that take 4 squares alive? I hit them with the Thermal Shok Launcher and yet it appears they die anyways.

hmmm... don't know about that, i never tried to kill all aliens in a colony. you can always try and put the equipment you want to recover on your soldier's backpack or on the entrance pad or something.
Speaking of live aliens, how do you capture big aliens that take 4 squares alive? I hit them with the Thermal Shok Launcher and yet it appears they die anyways.i think they stay alive, though there's no real way to check. besides, getting one alive gives you nothing but info on them. though it's a nice challenge to try and get all of the ufopedia entries, it's impossible to get a live Bio-Drone since they blow up :p
