Honey tastes damn good on black bread with topfen (quark, fresh cheese).
Also, warm milk with honey is great against cough.

Although, the best usage is for killing ants and slugs.
Place a shallow pot of honey outside and it'll kill those suckers like nothing else.
The easiest way to get ants out of your place or slugs out of your garden.

The truth of the matter is there is no absolute way of fixing the internet and making everybody ever happy. You can read a very good (and big!) article (http://www.joelonsoftware.com/items/2008/03/17.html) about it.

As it happens, I saw that earlier today.

My afternoon to early evening basically went:

TV Tropes
v
The page about "Let's Play!"
v
SomethingAwful's "Let's Play SimCity 2000!", and that news post
v
Break for dinner
v
Dan showed up
v
He mentioned KC Green's Custom Comics, and said that this had inspired him to ask for a Transport Advisor themed one, but he didn't have the money.
v
I did have the money, and asked KC for one, taking the above screeny as a reference.
v
With a "Waste not, want not" attitude, I posted the screeny here.

Judging from the size and shape of most of them I think they comply with standards for the visual impaired and the blind.

Just like all Euro coins are either different in radius or with different notches on the edge.

I have £12.50 EW on D'Argent at 40/1 and £2 on Naunton Brook to place at 28/1. I picked the last one last year, IIRC he was something like 100/1 and was doing very well (right up in top few, and leading at some points), and then fell. Typical I guess.

The 10p has (at least at the moment and I don't see it changing) milled edges and the 2p has plain edges.

Also they smell different, but I'd hate to have to rely on that.

You should get the Euro then. Every member state has it's own images on the flipside.

Plus there are commemorative coins issued every year by most countries.

Oh, I dunno. Twelve and twenty are quite nice, as numbers go.

Where you start worrying is where numbers like five and a half or fourteen start creeping in.
If you have 240d to the £, then 12 and 6 are good numbers. It's easily factorisable and that's useful for pricing things such that you can get N to the pound for the widest possible range of N. In this case, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20, 24, 30, 40, 48, 60, 120, or 240, and possibly a few more.

Which is all well and good if you live in a country full of maths nerds and no foreigners ever visit. Which we don't, and they do, so I think decimalisation was a good idea long overdue. Not least because giving ever intermediate denomination a different name (and yes I'm looking at you here, USA) just confuses the matter further for non-natives.

I shudder to think what would happen if today's innumerate, illiterate morons had to deal with pre-decimal currency. Some people blame the decimal currency for the decline in maths skills, but that's a bit stupid and I think fairly clearly post hoc ergo procter hoc reasoning.

Strangely, Firefox's spellchecker allows "ergo" but not "procter" or "hoc".

Or "Firefox's".

No it's when you ride that phreaking manta ray or whatever it is and then proceed to plummet to your own dead a couple dozen times. Well the first time was ok, but the second time was horrible. (I think it's on the galaxies you unlock with the green power stars, I'm not sure).
It may just have been me that was trying to do it too fast, but still. :pIt was a joke.

I've had similar problems when making flash games. If the playable part of the game is on frame 1, try moving it to frame 2 and then just make the "play again" button start on 1. That should have the same effect as going through the menus again. There's probably a better way though..

There's probably a better way though..It already works like that, but it still doesn't reset everything properly unless I move out of the scene (like it is now). It's not my concern anyways, I've got enough work with college. They brought us... Snakes on Assembly!

Welp, looks like I missed you this time. I just went to MSN at you, only to notice in the process that, in a time before time, I seem to had blocked you and forgotten about it. Given that I have no idea why, I think we're past that now... :p

Next time, maybe, and either way, we should probably move the discussion out of NEaO.I wasn't even on MSN today and tad and ken left early so that tad could go obsess over his love interest. maybe next week, but if you just wanna play me, lemme know.

You want the music from that TF2 Pyro video?
You could download the video file and extract the audio yourself with some audio extraction tool (http://www.google.at/search?hl=de&q=extract%20music%20from%20WMV&meta=).

Do you have to write the letters in mid-air with the Wii controller?

Do you have to write the letters in mid-air with the Wii controller?

It's a sort of a cross between Microsoft On-Screen Keyboard and Duck Hunt.

That, or you can plug in a USB keyboard.

Something like Dasher (http://www.inference.phy.cam.ac.uk/dasher/) would probably work well on the Wii.

AndrewTaylor

Yeah, but it should be more 3D-like, with the letters coming at you from the back of the screen somehow.

Anyone know how to connect wireless keyboards/mouses? I've had the problem before.

I've had to disconnect it all and now after hooking it all back up, it doesn't respond even when I try to connect it. I've put new batteries in them as well.

I've had the problem before in the past but Christmas was approaching and got a new one then (this one).

In my experience, I took them back to the shop and bought proper ones with cables.

I imagine that thanks to Bluetooth this is no longer the case, but it used to constantly amaze me just how hopeless mankind was at making short-range wireless connections work. It seemed like such a simple task compared to setting up a mobile phone network or satellite television.

I've never had any issues with mine, they work right off the box,.

There are some crappy models which will only work after you press the CONNECT buttons in a really specific order and spin around the room, so you might wanna check the manual.

It says to connect the mouse first, then the keyboard, which I've done, and tried the opposite. It does often happen to me but it usually works about the second time I turn my PC on.

Might email Logitech at some point. Another thing added to my busy schedule.

Logitech!? wow, I've had a wireless mouse from them for over a year now and it's worked flawlessly. granted, I switched back to a wired mouse when teh G9 came out and my wife got it for me for christmas, but she's continued using the other mouse since and it's worked fine for her as well.

normally their mice just plug n play. definitely wanna contact logitech if yours is being funky.

The last keyboard I got from Logitech did the same thing. So I've found them irritating. I'm adamant that the keyboard and mouse still work, I think it's probably something to do with connecting it.

Are you using a HomePlug mains networking system at all? Or any kind of radio transmitting device? Cordless phones, mobiles, wireless networks? Do you know what frequency range your deskset works on? Is it 2.4GHz or more like 433MHz?

Does the receiver light flash upon key presses or mouse movement? Have you tried resynchronising the deskset using the pairing buttons? Have you read the troubleshooting section of the manual? Have you checked the Logitech web site for updates? Is it a USB deskset or PS/2?

Have you checked the Logitech web site for updates? Is it a USB deskset or PS/2?The receiver isn't supposed to flash when I click the mouse, but when connecting the mouse/keyboard, the lights flash as usual. It connects to the regular keyboard and mouse sockets.

I'm unable to install the updates because I have no working keyboard or mouse, and haven't looked yet. I don't have the manual on me - it is probably lurking around in a random drawer at home. In fact, I can't even say what.... aha: http://www.icct.ca/images/prod_logitech/logitech_mx3000.jpg :p

I have a Logitech bluetooth mouse and it still goes wonky at times... I feel it used to do it more often, but sometimes it just would stop working no matter how many times I'd hit the reset button and the connection light on the mouse would just blink on and off. I went into the Bluetooth options, deleted the mouse connection, looked for a new bluetooth device to connect, selected the mouse and it worked. This used to happen all the time. Not so much anymore - no idea why.

It sounds like either interference or defective hardware. I've always used Logitech's cordless desktop kits (I think I'm on my third) and they've worked flawlessly.
