Well, my PS2 has been turned on for 1 week solid so that I could roll up 1,000,000 roses on 'We love Katamari'. Using two elastic bands to keep the katamari rolling constantly, it finally finished tonight. And what do I get for 1,000,000 roses? Slightly different title, loading and level select screens. Oh, and an extra song that only plays once and can never be heard in-game again. :-/

WOW, I hate that.

Hey! I finally switched to Firefox (and Thunderbird) and have a few questions.

Does anyone know an expansion that allows customizable domain completion?
Crazy Browser (http://www.crazybrowser.com/s_domain_completion.htm) has the feature to customize 4 shortcuts with custom URLs.
I had them conviniently linked to the search functions of google, wikipedia, imdb and dict.cc.

At the moment I use dotcomplete (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1092/), but that has only 3 shortcuts, has no wildcard system and doesn't recognize spaces (%20) between multiple keywords.

I edited the config of the built-in Google search function, which searches for keywords when entered in the address bar, but that way I can't search for URLs of course.

Anyone know any other plugins or some tweaks for FF?

worMatty
16 Jun 2006, 13:20
You can use the search field. Just click on the icon for the service you would like to search and a drop-down list will show you the selectable ones. Select the search engine you want if it isn't already the one selected, type in your search query and press Return.

Uwe Boll challenges his critics to a boxing match! (http://www.gamespot.com/news/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=24707327&sid=6152650)

For the uninformed, Uwe Boll was the director of the House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark and BloodRayne movies.

"Towards the end of the filming of Postal the five most outspoken critics will be flown into Vancouver and supplied with hotel rooms," read Boll's press release. "As a guest of Uwe Boll they will be given the chance to be an extra/stand-in in Postal and have the opportunity to put on boxing gloves and enter a BOXING RING [emphasis in the original] to fight Uwe Boll. Each critic will have the opportunity to bring down Uwe in a 10-bout match. There will be five matches planned over the last two days of the movie. Certain scenes from these boxing matches will become part of the Postal movie. All five fights will be televised on the Internet and will be covered by international press."

However, not just anyone who is so inclined will have the chance to put the smackdown on Boll. "To be eligible you must be a critic who has posted on the Internet or have written in magazines/newspapers at least two extremely negative articles in the year 2005. Critics of 2006 will not be considered," said Boll's statement, meaning that said disparaging reviews must predate the theatrical release of BloodRayne.

I used to pull all-nighters, but ended up finding no point in it.
I've done it a few times. Twice socially and largely by simply not thinking to call it a night until 6AM, by which point it didn't seem worth it, and once on an overnight flight that really wasn't long enough to call "overnight" in any meaningful sense. Spent 2AM-5:30AM or so travelling and it hardly seemed worth going to bed then.

Oh, and I stayed up all night a bit ago because student sofas aren't massively comfortable when there are two of you. Between two working days, as well. For some reason I seem to be able to miss the odd night's sleep here and there and it doesn't affect me at all. I'm tired fromabout 4AM to about 7AM, but after that it's just like a normal day.

I got home from work at about 4 this morning, which is standard, and I have to be back there at 1 this afternoon, which is not. I knew I'd have a hell of a time trying to haul my carcass out of bed if I went to sleep, so I decided not to bother. I need to do something drastic with my sleep schedule anyway.

It will have been more than 24 hours by the time I get back from this stupid thing. Learning about things I already know about.

Which moron designed DirectShow?

They are the Mayor of the Kingdom of Mixed Metaphors.

You know how everything in computing is named after something broadly similar from real life or earlier technologies -- files go in folders, CDs have tracks, mice, windows, and so forth? Well the same is true of DirectShow, but none of the names connect to each other. Example: Almost everything in DirectShow is a filter, and each filter has several pins. Why do filters have pins? I have no idea. Several filters connected together is called a graph. What sense this makes is a closed book to me. And how do you make a graph? Plot it? Draw it? No, you build it. And then tear it down when you're done.

It's hard enough to work with for technical reasons, without making it linguistically nonsensical.

Well even if not "long-time", they talked on MSN and had Whiteboard sessions, so I doubt it's just some random stalker.

I know the guy was a real freak who thought he was a dragon and all...but any one know why he got banned exactly? Not that im complaining, I find it rather funny. Just wondering....

He never gave us the proper pronounciation for "Xanavie'aus Fri'ayastan", either.

Well, then explain to me why after reading just portions of his post linked here, the first thing that came to my mind was "stalker"? :p

Aye, but the only reason HK talked to him was because he could draw dragons really well...or I think it was somthing along those lines. But everything that guy said, convinced me that he isnt right. Kinda like those "furry" people lovers out there. It's ok to love your pet, but drawing p0rn of your dog and cat is just...not right.

If you have Windows 95, you could go hunting for old games on abandonware sites.

I think I need to clarify. It's a 866mhz processor, but it somehow doesn't seem to run like an 866mhz processor.(runs way too slow for that processing power methinks)
Maybe it's because it's old, or maybe it's Win2000 fault.

Yesterday night my sis asked me to type some homework she had done on her notebook into the comp, so I did, it was like a poll with several questions and 3 answers for each question.
In one of them I added the option "Chuck Norris" just for a laugh, but I highlighted it in red so she could easily notice it and remove it before she printed it in the morning... well I just opened the document and guess what :x
