cuarto can mean either forth, quarter or room
(cuarto lugar= fourth place, un cuarto=one quarter, mi cuarto=my room)

A friend of mine's getting Sonic Heroes soon...Erm... He didn't like it. Actually, that's a bit of an understatement. He just threw it in the bin.

This mainly appears to be because he's usually very good at the Sonic series, but I've just watched him lose several lives in succession on Bullet Station and Frog Forest with Team Sonic. In short, it looks like this game's posing as much of a problem to him as the other Sonic games do to me (I am utterly hopeless at Sonic. Which doesn't stop me liking it...). This has led him to the conclusion that it's not actually a Sonic game... :-/

Damn. I was gonna get that. But I still might.

I'm not normally a poetry-person myself. I just felt like writing one, concerning the forum, after reading "The Waste Land" for RTI. :p

I haven't known bettas to be jumpers... But if you get a lid, be sure you don't cover the entire top or you'll suffocate your fish.

AA Battries taste like A Battries

Oh, that was another betta you got? I have NEVER heard of a betta jumping out of the tank. Maybe that's why they're usually kept in those plastic-cup-sized bowls in the stores around here.:-/

Oh, one other thing -- if you ever see hatchetfish, don't even think about getting them. They're absolutely notorious for jumping out of the tanks. We got 3 hatchetfish once -- the first we found behind the radiator one afternoon, the second behind the desk on the opposite side of the mantel, and the third just vanished entirely.

My lid has a half inch gap around the filter and my hatchetfish managed to jump through that... A full sized silver hatchet can jump about 6 feet.

Shrimp kill themselves too. They crawl out of the tank and die... Once one was flopping around on my bed.:-/ Don't have any more of them, either.

The rarity of bettas jumping supports the filter theory... Besides, bettas are clean. I only have to clean the betta tank every few months. But then again the tank is pretty big for a betta. Comparitively speaking...

My C++ compiler is screwed...
If I copy all the code Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V it in a new document, it won't work! :eek: Help? Probably the macro things. Such as at the beginning, #include "poopy.h" and you don't have the poopy.h file it won't compile. Things in <> you don't seem to need such as <iostream.h>. Actually I think you need them but they're included in the compiler or something.

Note: I am still learning the language, and can not guarantee the above is true.

My C++ compiler is screwed...
If I copy all the code Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V it in a new document, it won't work! :eek: Help? Probably the macro things. Such as at the beginning, #include "poopy.h" and you don't have the poopy.h file it won't compile. Things in <> you don't seem to need such as <iostream.h>. Actually I think you need them but they're included in the compiler or something.

Note: I am still learning the language, and can not guarantee the above is true.

edit: I get the entire next week off!:cool:

Most of the standard ones are included with the compiler.

Iostream is the input/output stream, if you want any input or output at the level I'm guessing you're at, then you'll want iostream.


Also, I'd advise doing

#include <iostream>
using namespace std;

rather than

#include <iostream.h>

hey, just if anyone cares, there's a competition for Maya PLE (that is the free, downloadable version at their site) users, you download an already rigged(this means it has bones already) character, and all you have to do is:
-an animation(you can choose one of three options)
-a pose
-a cool texture for the pose
then you send the files of the anim and the textured pose(including the texture files) and you're done
prizes are:
1st: a computer and Maya 5.0 Complete
2nd: an Nvidia graphic card and Maya 5.0 Complete
3rd: a set of dvd with 3d characters or something among that lines, i'm not sure:p
i don't have the link available at the moment, and i can't check(i'm on crashy laptop), but i'm sure it should be around Alias|Wavefront site

you have till mid April(i think) to finish it, so there's still plenty of time
