Alrighty, I'm researching DSL! (Finally completely and utterly sick of AOL's speed, reliability, and lack of being able to be online while sister is on the phone and will do whatever it takes to get DSL)

I'm eyeing an option with 1 dynamic IP address for $40 a month. Then there's an option (with the same download and upload speeds) with 5 static IPs for $55 a month. Is it worth it to get the second one?

I've only gotten stug by a wasp once......I was sitting outside and leaning over to write, the wasp crawled down my shirt! Luckly, a friend told me about it and a froze, but it got scared anyway and stung me! It didn't hurt as much as I'd thought it would, though.:D

I remember I was trimming flowerbeds and a yellowjacket was on it when I picked it up to throw it away.

Then another time what I thought was a fly was buzzing around my head so I whacked it with one hand in midair. It was a bee and knowing my luck I hit it when it was facing away from me and the stinger went into my hand.

The wasp hurt more but didn't swell, while the bee made my hand unuseable...

You are now in... the Arfenhouse Zone. (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view.php?id=110131) Despite the descriptors, it contains no nudity, and the "excessive" audio and textual explicit language is limited mainly to a few uses of the F- word. I'd give it a PG-13. However, I wouldn't recommend viewing the first movie.

switching to a unhappier topic, i decided to try and make a FPS again with a thingy i found long time ago. problem is, i went for the cheapest setup for it (Microsoft Paint for textures and Milkshape 3D for modelling) and Milkshape doesn't seem to like me :( (and it's supposed to be WinXP compatible!)

Gmax is so cool! In Anim8or when resizing/moving/whatever you have to end your click-drag when the cursor gets to the side of the screen. Gmax automatically puts the cursor on the other side allowing you to resize/move/etc. with only 1 drag!

Also, you don't have to use bones to animate. You can move a few points and set it as a key frame.

Not to mention proper application of textures.


Unfortunately is only saves as *.gmax with is encrypted, so no converters, making it just about useless...

I just got a new system fan installed on my PC. I needed it badly. The processor would constantly overheat without it. Now I can be playing games carefree once more.

I'm thinking that might be the problem with my computer. It'll randomly lock up when I'm playing games that utilize the 3D card... might I need a replacement fan?

Do you have:
a) System Fan (On the case, but not on the power supply)
b) GPU Fan (on your video card)

If you answered 'Yes!' to both of these, then the problem is probably not in fans. Although it never hurts to check. Try openigh up the case and see if it gets any better. If so then you either need to replace a bad fan (you will have to find a tricky way of finding it, unless there is one that does not spin) or add another System Fan.

My computer has 63 megs RAM. A test I took to see if I can get DSL said "Sorry, you only have 63 MBs of RAM. We require 64 MBs." And a test I took to see if I can upgrade to the new AOL also said I have 63 megs. Right click My Computer -> Properties says 63 as well...

You can buy a few megs of RAM dirt cheap. (It is just sand after all)

I made a plane that goes 2600 miles per hour.:) Now to increase the sensitivity of the controls A LOT!..

Edit: It's really wierd. You shake around a lot on the ground. Then simply turning the engine on (with 0% throttle) takes you to 600 mph. At full speed you have to watch your altitude because you get so much the ground disappears. (100 000 ft. in about a minute) Not to mention controlling is nigh on impossible. Outrunning your missiles is pretty cool though.

Edit: It's literally impossible to land. When on the ground it bounced unnaturaly and ends up flipping. Gotta find what's causing that...

ok, something really scary happened a while ago
there were some shootings like 3 hours ago, followed with an explotion, quite near to my house, like 3 houses from my grandparents house:eek: (check attachment)

3 men were killed, and apparently the killers were hidden in a neighbours house
there were a lot of sirens sounds, it was quite creepy

my mom and my brother went to my grandparents house to check what happened, and they had to stay there cause of the insecurity outside

apparently, things have settled down now, but it's still scary

something similar happened some time ago when some guys in a pick-up shooted at a house in the neighbourhood, unless then there were no victims

Sometimes abreviation Mach. is used for power of the engine. I think it is so, at least, in the M$ flight sims. Normaly, however, Mach is a measure of speed where Mach 1 is the speed of sound or roughly 330 meters per second.

I mean, think of all the problems you'd have. It's hard enough to run a city or a country (look at the crap job politicans make of it already), but a whole world...

You'd have to deal with everyone's problems. And every region of your empire would have different problems. You could end up with people asking you to do something about the plumbing in their house, for starters.

Then there's the eternal economy/population/quality of life triumvirate of problems that you have to play off against each other. As I say in SimCity, you can make a big, rich city, or a rich, nice city, or a big, nice city, but a big, rich, nice city is almost impossible.

And if you start delegating, your subordinates might get a taste of power and attempt to overthrow you.

I certainly wouldn't want to take over the world.
