It's now a new feed of mine. Woo.
Actually, now that I think of it, the purpose of that thing was probably to put some distance between your throat and the spray. You'd get conflicting opinions, but some doctors reccomend that you hold the thing with the mouthpiece a good few inches away from your actual mouth. That's what I did, and still occasionally do.

Part of it also has to do with containing the spray, I believe, so that you inhale nothing but the medicine.

Could be to do with the patient's tolerance towards the density or concentration of the medicine in the air being inhaled. When I was a kid I used a small Ventalin inhaler with little air intake, but I've seen children given a cylinder to breathe the medicine through. If it was because of their age and the natural stage of development of their respiratory system, that would make sense. Alternatively the inhalation apparatus could be chosen depending on each patient's sensitivity to triggers.
Part of it also has to do with containing the spray, I believe, so that you inhale nothing but the medicine.
There are 2 types of asthma sprays that I know of:
One is a pressurized can (http://www.tumble.com/demo_area/s-p/gifs/about1_pr.gif), that dispenses an aerosol.
The other (http://www.peds.arizona.edu/allergyimmunology/southwest/devices/inhalers-asthma/images/foradi2.jpg) is loaded with a capsule (http://www.yle.fi/akuutti/kuvat3/keuhkoaht_3.jpg), which is cracked open releasing a fine powder, which you then inhale fastly (no propellant).
The latter has to fit tightly in your mouth.

Who'd win in a fight between the AA Team and the RAC Motorquoter?
I mean, sure the AA Team have got numerical superiority, but the Motorquoter can fly with those magnetic jet boot thingies...
worMatty
9 Aug 2006, 21:29
Depends on what you mean by win. If you mean the first to knock their opponent out is the winner, then the AA Team would easily be able to overpower the RAC Motorquoter, unless he swooped down on them one by one and knocked them out using his big metal boots. But he doesn't seem to be very intelligent - in one ad he 'parks' next to the kids in the back of the car and lets one of them touch his boots (oh yes, baby, touch my boots, it sends me off), which sends him soaring off. That makes him seem ****ing pathetic.
Paul.Power
9 Aug 2006, 21:33
And they can probably hack into his boots using their laptops and 1337 car insurance price-lowering h4x0r sk1ll2...
AndrewTaylor
9 Aug 2006, 21:44
You don't know that the RAC Motoquoter can't just clamp onto the roof of the AA Team's car, lift it up with his rocketboots, and dump it in a river.
worMatty
9 Aug 2006, 22:50
The AA Team don't seem to have a car, just steam-proof laptops. We don't know if the RAC guy's boots are powerful enough the lift a car full of people up, and there seem to be a lot of members of the AA Team, so if he did manage to do it with one car, the rest of the team travelling behind would see and would have time to get out of their cars before the RAC guy came back. Plus, for your strategy to be effective, Andy, the fighters would need to be near a river, but fights usually occur outside pubs on city streets.

Plus, if they're clamped on, how can they rocket?
Stephen Hawking - A brief history of Time
For instance, if an object travels at 10% of the speed of light, it's mass is then 0.5% larger, while at 90% of the speed of light, it would be more than twice the normal mass. As an object approaches the speed of light, it's mass rises ever more quickly, so it takes more and more energy to speed it up further. It can in fact never reach the speed of light, because by then it's mass would've become infinite. And by the equivalence of mass and energy, it would have taken an infinite amount of energy to get it there. For this reason, and normal object is forever confined by relativity to move at speeds slower than the speed of light. Only light, and other waves that have no intrinsic mass can move at the speed of light

He got banned for repeatedly talking about hacking Worms games after being warned, didn't he?
AFAIR, he found lots of maps & other stuff on Xbox demo disc of W4M and made a program that lets you convert W4M maps to be compatible with W3D.
All that prior to the release of W4M.
It think his point was that it wasn't really illegal since T17 have (accidentally) released that stuff on the demo disc, but Spadge warned him a few times to stop talking about it but he didn't listen.
The discussion was then continued on the D17 forum.

I think it's worth mentioning that Team17's view was that it was really illegal because of the actual laws laid down by international government. K^2's response was to stop doing it but then immediately start telling other people how to do it themselves, which isn't illegal. Team17 weren't mightily impressed by this kind of pedantic get-off-on-a-technicality style faux-obedience.

Bring back K^2!!!
Here's what I never understood. I had my whole fiasco trying to get them to release a map editor. K^2 and I seemed to be the only ones who understood that they weren't giving a good reason for it. We weren't asking for them to do any coding or any work. All we wanted was the editor uploaded in its current form, and we'd worry about hacking the levels into the game ourselves. It seemed to be more the thing "we don't want you hacking in levels because I said so."
Then K^2 goes and works on a level editor and gets banned.
I mean, why are they so opposed to us making levels? It seems less like they don't want him doing anything "illegal", but it rather seems like they're stubbornly trying to keep us from an editor.
I know the feeling. "I built this, and I like how I built it, and so I'm not going to let you modifty it!"
I'm the same way with my hovercraft.
But the level editor wouldn't change the core of the game - it would just allow us to play on our own creations. Like if someone wanted to make their own course to take the hovercraft on. I wouldn't mind, as long as I could say that it was my creation going over their course. It's still T17's game playing on our levels.
K^2's level editor was the only thing that made me reinstall W3D. And if he had stayed and made more cool stuff, I might even have bothered to get W4: Mayhem.
Wow, that was a long rant - sorry...

Fun.
About that comment saying K^2 trying to get away with a technicality by just posting instructions on how to convert the maps... well, T17 got away with a technicallity by banning him for "hacking", considering all he did was release a couple of W4 maps into W3d... like that could do any kind of harm.
It's like prosecuting someone for intentionaly putting a foot inside your garden as "intruding into your property"... Yes he might have done it to **** you off, and yes he is "technically" intruding into your property, but going legal about it is just stupid.

Yes, I named myself "Vader" a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

-Yes?
-Well, we currently have an offer that just started this month, where you can have 300 text messages for $5, that means you'll have 200 extra messages for the same cost!
-Hmm... No, I don't want it
-... Are you sure? You'll be paying the same, but will have 200 more messages than before.
-No I don't want it
-... oookay, well thanks for calling Sprint, and have a nice day.
Apparently, I'm such bad a salesman that even when what I offer is nothing but a benefit I still can't sell...
You forgot to say, "There's no catch!" If telemarketers were more human, they would sell much more. For example, after they said no to you, you could also have said, "Are you engaged in a conversation with someone or cooking? If so, I'll hang up without arguing your response." If they aren't engaged in one of those activities, this daring response might intrigue them enough to make them want to talk to you, rather than deal with Sprint's prescribed corporate nonsense. Of course, your response and choice of diction should definitely account for the age of the person's voice. If they sound younger than 30, chances are that acting naturally with them will work best. If they sound old, acting pristinely angelic would go over well.
I wonder if I'd make a good telemarketer. Well, I think I might if I wasn't working for a company that was anal about scripts. Hmm.

Yeah, but I didn't call her, she called me. I'm Customer Service, but were suposed to "MAXimize" the customer(get more money from them) after we've resolved the issue.
I'm also almost completely sure I'm not allowed to say something like that tho, that would be like giving the customer the choice to hang up, we are suposed to act as greedy *******s.
At selling for example, we're not suposed to ask "Do you want me to add this service for you?", rather, we have to say something like "I'll add that service to you so you can start taking advantage of it right now!", because even tough taking the lead like that will most likely **** off any self confident customer, Sprint just assumes their customers to be mentally weak enough to be so easily manipulated into accepting.

This reminds me of the last time I visited HSBC. Some people accosted us by the door and asked us if they could help us (fill in our paying-in slips for us, etc.), and we said no, and joined the rather long queue for the cashiers. And then they started saying things like "If you're just paying in cash or cheques, we can do that easily for you!", and Mum and I were thinking, "Here's a thought: why don't you just go on cashier desks yourselfs and start serving there. Then the whole thing would go faster for everyone..."

My friend, whose character was Zim, made Hambo say "I LOVE INFINITY% MALES!"
Using symbols.
And I also created another town named :D.
Zim chopped down every one of the trees in :D and made a giant garbage pit in one area. Also, the town tune was just a single, long note. I think I did that one. I also made the extra bridge right next to the existing one, so it would be useless.
He also played as me sometimes and wrote a tale in my journal about how the gyroids revolted and I had to tunnel through to :D with Rover by my side to escape. (He made the tunnel to watch me sleep. I ended up eating him for sustenance.)
Another friend had a character named Meowkat. Zim would bury barrels of toxic waste outside Meowkat's house, and he once played as Meowkat, sold all of his furniture and decorated his house with all of the "heart" items.
Whoa, what's this about an extra bridge?
Edit: Question answered, never mind.

My friend gave her some really great faces.
But the only time she ever walked around the town was after I gave her one, and mine were never that good.

I propose that Sel gives the forum the "slap" feature.
If enough people use use it on one forumer, the computer will give them a slap in the face.
That'll make them act up. :p

Rabies: "Is it?"
Marian: "I mean, take the people of Worksop..."
Rabies: "Where to?"
Marian: "... they actually believe that at the end of the rainbow there's a volcano that spews forth mauve custard."
Rabies: "You'll have to give me directions, then, because I get a bit lost when I get to the Uttoxeter Bypass."
Marian: "Rabies, there is no volcano."
Rabies: "Won't they be a bit disappointed, then? I mean, it hardly seems worth the trip..."

BST = British Summer Time = GMT+1
Come winter (some time in late October to some time 6 months later), we're in GMT = Greenwich Mean Time.
