I have TIM, and Even More Contraptions. Yes, they're amazing. I'm just curious to know if there can be such a thing more awesome in its catergory.

Crazy Machines is a bit unnerving. It's a little slow, counter-intuitive and more like a bad physics lesson than a puzzle game. Also, get The Professor out of this game forever.

However, I hold onto my faith of Armadillo Run. It is NOT a clone of TIM - it's got completely different strategies on how to get an armadillo to roll, fly, get scooped up, get rebounded, get dragged, or fall through breaking steel into a blue space. It's much more minimalistic, but the thing is to use every part until they break. You never get that sense in anything else, not even TIM or Lemmings.

No one knows what Mr. Physics is like. It could be like Mercury Meltdown Revolution - greatly innovative, but sadly lacking. Or it could be another Crazy Machines.
It could also be the next Incredible Machine. So don't be so pessimistic.

um,all i seen was the ocean and team 17 logo,it is not united,just the worms 1 demo.

P.S:I started using dosbox,for sound.I found a way to run it without using stupid commands.I dragged the WRMS file to the dosbox icon,and it ran with music.The only minor drawback is that i have to hit the windows button,click the x button,to exit dosbox.If i click the exit to dos option in the game,it well,um...actually exits to dos.If you know what i mean.

it really is awesome how WELL they mixed the two genres. you've really gotta be both a good min/max RPG player as well as a good aim in terms of FPS gameplay. the weapons are perfect for it, too. environments as well. can't wait to see how the story line goes.....if only I could further the story line faster :p

Depends on whether it's 2D or 3D.

I think game developers should do what they did with Megaman 9; that is, new game, new levels, same style of play with the original graphics.

Sonic games could have events like earthquakes in levels and so on, things like that, because nobody said you had to keep the level format the same. Deforming terrain perhaps, from Dr. Robotnik's cannon thingy exploding up all over.

Earthworm Jim would be great if they did that: good, old graphics that we know and love, but with new levels and new things!

Actually it is the new version (that uses Flash 10) that doesn't roll to the credits, the Flash 9 version does however, work fine.

I just did a clean install of flash (Download installer + manually extract the files with 7zip, then overwrite current ones) and now the Flash 10 version finishes correctly :) so it was a dodge update to v10 that was stopping the game from working right.

Just about to play the Mirror's Edge demo. I'll let you guys know how I get on.

Tetris is awesome, but it's become more of a game you play when you are not in a position to play other games. Say, on the bus with a portable device, or when you're at work and you don't have any games on your work pc, etc.
Or when you feel nostalgic, or feel bored of the games you currently have.

It was basically the same thing: Do one line, nothing happens, do 2, send one, do 3, send 2, and doing 4 brings 4 up for them.

So whoever survived won... Or who reached 30 lines first, I think. However, you needed 2 game boys and two games for that, at the time... And the Cable :(

Mirror's Edge demo is awesome.

Really really awesome, and happily, I don't seem to suffer from Simulation Sickness like some other people I know do. I never got disorientated or dizzy while playing.

Also, what's more is the fun glitch you can exploit to play the tutorial level in any way you like.

Oh, and by the looks of trailers, the whole sword thing is a sort of red herring, in that it's not really different from regular Sonic moves.

But for modern Wii games, they're the same price!not many games for both wii and PC and none of them good. €10/20 is a fair amount compared to €30-40 games. unless the games are disproportionately high in europe compared to america, and even then $20 is a good bit to tack on to the $50 for normal games.

The Wii needs new better games. Also, I kinda liked the Sonic one on the Wii. It was just not an average sonic game. I'd look into the new one, but I have the first one still :p

Ah. Turns out I think I was a bit misinformed about Sonic and the Black Knight. Apparently, it's not a rail-set game at all, and is probably going to be more like Sonic Unleashed, but with a sword, and no slow werewolf form.

Im not actually picking a side here (could anyone care less about this ****?) but just pointing out he said he wouldnt buy the PS3 for it, rather than the game itself (assuming he had a PS3 already, presumably).
I only commented because I thought deciding whether you buy a system based on a single release was a tad silly.

I really want to get Cortex Command. Build 22 is just awesome. The AI is so much better, and I've discovered a way to make it run faster on my machine, too. Although, that means the physics are a teeny bit innacurate.

My point was: I don't feel like buying most of the exclusive stuff for the PS3. Never said they were crap. Get all defensive if you want, but that's just you getting paranoid. If I want the non-exclusive ones, I'll get them for PC, or any other thing. The only game I'd mark as a "need-to-have" game is LBP.

You were unlucky with the games you got to play I'd say. Really. I'd too play F-Zero or Mario Kart before Motor Storm.

Not possible. (Well, there is a device that lets you do that, but it only emulates a controller with a mouse and keyboard, this causes the mouse movement to be rather restricted)

Just tried the Dragonball Z: Burst Limit demo on X360;
Hilarious. It's just the way it's so ham-acted all the time, it's like a permanent capslock. Also the fact that you can explode with crazed lasers and all that stuff just by button mashing and twiddling the analog sticks. And it said all about the Mother 3 translation aaages ago.

So the New Xbox Experience is out. Best thing about this update is that I can now install my games to the hard drive, which makes the Xbox a lot less noisier during play.
Also, it now features the ability to create an avatar for yourself, which is pretty much Nintendo's Mii with less customization, but more polygons(and actual clothing detail :P). You can even (allegedly) use this avatar with some of the live arcade games. And you can take a picture of it to use as your gamer picture.
It also features a new visual style for the menus, which I'm ambivalent towards, and they finally decided to allow you to browse games by letters instead of being forced to scroll trough all of them to find the one you want.

I like these ones better than the Mii... they don't scare the crap out of me D:

You're going to be here a long time if you're gonna start complaining every time a window has different physics to the way it should act when smashed.
Especially considering that I know of no game that has the window tear you to pieces if you jump it.

Well, nobody I know has had a RROD so far. I once got one in 2007, but I fixed it by turning on the console by pressing the tray open button. Don't ask me, but it worked.

I think people aren't taking proper care of the unit anyway; I clean dust out from mine at least 8 times a year. It builds up quickly you know.

Arguably dust building up so quickly is a design flaw.

From what I hear, the night mode is probably somewhere along the line of games like Kung Fu Panda, etc, which has some platforming to it but a lot of boring useless brawling with weak enemies. It's not horribly bad but it's boring I suppose.

As for the day mode, I've heard it's fantastic. Of course I can't properly back that up, but the truth will eventually be out.

It seems okay. I don't think i'll enjoy the werehog parts, but at least the non werehog parts make up for it.

I'm still worried about the day sections. They still look too linear compared with classic Sonic. Speed means little without a) control b) momentum c) contrasts d) fairness e) genuine usefulness. Apparently the game is fairer in its challenges than other 3D Sonic games, but it still looks very scripted (still a whole bunch of dash panels) and "floaty".

apparently the day levels have a lot of branching paths. a lot of the time messing up a scripted part or a jump will put you on an alternate path.

Also, the Wii/PS2 version is pants. Compared to the 360/PS3 version it has Shorter levels with a lot less going on, Two entire zones MIA, and an approximate 1:3 day to night level ratio.

And the werehog controls are reportedly a lot worse than the HD versions.

But it has no obligatory medals and unlockables.

And still has an annoying sidekick type. Hello, Navi's re-incarnation.

Playing Sonic Unleashed is like driving a Ferrari through stop and go traffic, where brief moments of exhilaration are cut short by a series of red lights. Says it all, really.

Yup. But it's remade from scratch basically, and the maps have been vastly improved from the originals, to add realism.

I vaguely remember Half-Life. I appreciated the fact it was a good game, but I never seemed to enjoy it as much. Neither did my Dad, so that's a possible reason why it disappeared.
I bought the Orange box a while ago and loaded up HL2. I then spent an hour trying to work out how it followed on from the original. I gave up and looked at the Wikipedia.

I might try giving it all another go and perhaps I'll then be more interested in this.

The orange box used an updated source engine that has several additions. Mostly better particle effects, some lighting effects I think, and the dynamic shadows you see when using the flashlight in Episode 2.
