Nah, golf is more a turn-based first-person skill game.
With some racing action.

Golf? (http://www.golfquestionmark.com/)In my case, golf is an FPS.

I just posted this in the mod forum. I am not going to tell you who it refers to:

1. Define all words differently to everyone else and don't mention this.
2. Argue with people who say things that are not true in your new language.
3. Demand that everyone either prove the objective and intrinsic superiority of English or else speak your new language.
4. Continue argument for ever.

Also there are 2 main differences to the DS and PSP versions. The DS one doesn't have hats, but the PSP version does.

Ah Shadowmoon, your unintentional comedy does not go unappreciated.

Over the past two years, I've left the forum three times. I've mentioned it twice and just walked away on one occasion, and the reason I do this is invariably because I become fed up of the sheer stupidity of the posters on the forum and decide to start calling people on their downright stupid behaviour. Then I upset someone or hurt someone's feelings and decide it would be wise to take some time away from the forum.

I've done this twice, and I was on the verge of doing it again today until I said to myself, "You know what? (Rubber duck - Ed.) 'em. If they don't want their feelings hurt they can damn-well stop being so (clucking - Ed.) stupid.

Perhaps you ought to take a different approach to stupidity. If one of your friends made a mistake, you'd take them aside and try to help them. Well, just think about the 'stupid' people as friends you have yet to make.

You do seem to call a lot of people out for such behaviour, Ben. I'm surprised it's not earned you a nickname or something.

Now try to stop yourselves replying with "There is nothing positive to note."this thread is here because it is amusing. it provides a place to laugh at people when they make a stupid mistakes. think of it as watching a blooper reel from a show or a movie.

even if their WAS a thread for positive posts, I would never think to post anything in it and would never be interested in seeing what was in it. if a person is being intelligent they will be rewarded for doing so by gaining more respect. there's no need to single the posts out because it just wouldn't be interesting to go through and read them over again. intelligence just isn't something worth laughing about.

I think FutureWorm's point was that you come in here for no reason other than to ridicule the posters here because we aren't living up to your own moral standards in regard to how we're dealing with the stupid posts of this forum. we're just here to laugh at people when they do something ridiculously stupid. it's not a sin to like a good blooper reel, and yet you come in acting like you're above that sort of behavior for no reason. we're just here to laugh, is it really necessary to come in and ridicule us for it? it's not like we're being petty about it and ridiculing those posters who's posts end up in this thread even after the stupid post was done and over with. if someone improves we move on to wait until someone else does something stupid.

Interesting analogy, Nathan, but what's going on here is nothing like the average blooper show. Bloopers are things like mixing up words and falling over - silly mistakes that everyone can laugh about. Unfortunately, what goes on in this thread and sometimes others in OD has the potential to lead to much worse. Sometimes we don't realise how bad we get, and one time we even caused an insider to defect. The accusations were that we're elitist, and I can understand why they thought that.

I don't like people being idiots on purpose, either. But you shouldn't take my unwillingness to b.itch about these people as taking the moral highground. It's just common decency. Maybe I take it too seriously, but the reason I do is because of what has happened in the past. I can remember for a time after that last leak, everyone was talking about closing down OD, slating the forum, and it took a lot of talk to bring people around. We had ideas to devise a plan of reform to prevent it happening again and improve the rest of the forum at the same time. My attitude is just the continuation of that plan. You'll have to forgive me, I can't remember if you were in or out at that time.

It's good to see Shadowmoon is improving. I think it has a little to do with the positive experience he's had so far at the RealVG forum.

You'll have to forgive me, I can't remember if you were in or out at that time.nope. I wasn't in during that whole thing, so I really can't know what you're basing your concerns on. the moral highground thing was based on how your posts in this thread were sounding. it appeared like you were just trying to be better than everyone else and rub our noses in it. if you're actually concerned about this, then I can't really argue too heavily one way or another on that. it's your opinion and you're entitled to it. I mean, I disagree and would like to try to explain why, though.

I treat this thread as no more than a blooper reel. if you mislike that analogy, look up Jay Walking from the Tonight Show with Jay Leno that plays here in america (unless you're american, or the show plays in other countries, in which case you may be alreayd familiar with it). I view this thread as the same sort of thing as that show. it's funny to laugh at people who act or actually ARE really stupid. sure, it's mean, but it's still something I find funny so long as we're not being malicious about it. perhaps I'm not percieving this thread in the same way as you, but when I read this I assume everyone else is reading it for no reason other than what I'm reading it for: a cheap laugh. if it gets to the point that people are just being mean or xenophobic because of this thread and threads like it, I can understand that it is then a problem and needs to be dealt with. as it is, though, I don't really see it as anything more than harmless fun.

this may just be an issue of you comparing it to the situation in OD before the major leak incident and me not being able to compare it to how it was in the past. we may simply not be able to understand each others view points.

Well let's look at [that post (http://forum.team17.co.uk/showpost.php?p=651403&postcount=144)] again. No one at any point prior to this post has suggested anything about "what they get up to". Kelster makes this leap based on someone saying "being gay isn't strictly speaking a bad thing". Why has Kelster made this leap? What was the point of it? No one has brought it up so why mention it at all?

Perhaps I'm overreacting, it just seems a little off to me. I'm genuinely surprised that no one else can see it.

I stand by S-2k, Kelster is basically saying she doesn't want gay people to say they are gay. People do not have to keep it to themselves only because someone doesn't want to know. Perhaps the graphical explanation wasn't necessary, but he still has a point.

Now, online relationships by people who have never met in person and live too far away from each other, that's something that people should keep to themselves. :P

I bet Kelster is only jealous because she knows she barely has any chances with a homosexual male.
Or maybe she has a knack for always starting to flirt with gays. :D

I really wonder if she has the same opinion about homosexual females.
I that case a gay woman revealing her sexuality and what she's up to shouldn't really bother Kelster, except of course Kelster herself is a bit homosexual.

Or, maybe this whole fear of homosexuals is completely irrational and homophobes are just idiots.
A homosexual of your opposite sex would merely be a potential competitor that could snatch away your potential sexual partner.
A homosexual of your own sex shouldn't actually bother you at all. It's not like with vampires or zombies that turn you into one of them.

I can see what she means, though her comment was perhaps from out of the blue, and with questionable relevancy. We would agree that the majority of people in our societies don't like other people going in to detail about what they get up to in private sexually, regardless of their gender preference. Perhaps Kelster has had a bad experience, or was raised amongst people who saw homosexuality as bad. It's not her fault she's caught in the dregs of intolerance, and she should be forgiven if she's young. Heck, if you think she's bad, you should meet my mum. She used to love John Barrowman until she learned he was gay.

I've seen and heard far more gay men make very suggestive, leud comments repeatedly in conversation than straight men, half the time about someone else who is present or even you! I'm not talking about being passively flirtatious, either. In gay culture, sex is talked about very openly, probably because that's what it's all about at the end of the day. It's easy to become uncomfortable with it if you're not used to it, and then grow tired of it eventually. It puts you off wanting to see them in future.

I've also heard people say that people who claim to be bisexual are really just kidding themselves.

Also I've heard that gay people are evil and must be punished, so there's a broad spectrum of views. Personally, I don't see the need for a distinction: go with whoever you fancy. I've never fancied a man yet but I don't think I'd be freaked out if I ever did. I hope not, though. Kissing stubble is weird.

I think it's just that people tend to hang out with people of the same sexuality as them, because otherwise they'd never get dates, so they end up acting similarly because they have their own little sub-cultures. I wouldn't think it strange for a group defined by its sexuality to openly discuss its sexuality.

I guess there's the argument that people would be too used to it to really think twice, but I'd think a considerate person would try not to go too in depth about it if they're with someone they don't know very well.

In Japan. Because their regulations concerning flashing images on television are much more relaxed than the US/European rules. Networks in the US and UK have systems set up specifically to parse this sort of thing out of television as it broadcasts, and 4Kids Entertainment actually cut out every other frame in sequences where this flashing occurs. Nevertheless the episode in question, translated from Japanese as "[Computer Soldier Porygon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denn%C5%8D_Senshi_Porygon)]", has never been aired outside of its home country.

I was never into the television series, although I did like the games. My ex, however, was a chuffing Pokemaniac. Still is, for all I know.

That's not a valid question. Statements are stupid by default. If they want to be not-stupid then they have to justify that, and I can't see how that one isn't stupid.

I was going to report you for posting game hacks, but I thought the better of it. You're in a much better position to get your own back for those kind of shenanigans.

Sidenote: A lot of the people I know here in the States support Obama, but they aren't sure why. It's very easy to draw parallels with Harold Saxon, although that probably says more about just how uninvolved the average American is in the politics of their homeland.

Wtfs your problem?

You threw an immediate insult as soon as i misunderstood your post through no fault of my own...
and even IF someone did do that out of confusion, thats how you would react to mis-understanding?
If the misunderstanding is based on glossing over the Patently Obvious (aka "Tal05's Law") then yes.

For god sake, your 22 and acting like a 15 years old!
Im 15 so my behaviour is going to be like this, but you?!?
I forgot that age dictates behavior. Tal's off the hook, everyone!

Listen, I'll make a deal with you: You stop posting stupid things, and I'll stop drawing attention to them and calling you an idiot. Sound fair?
Well guess what, your really not acting like an adult.
Your deal sounds tempting but first give me a link to one of my posts which you class as "stupid"
Only one?

I've already called attention to your stupid posts. If you don't know by now then I have no inclination to show you again.

Do not PM me again.
yeah thought so...
Dave Hitt logic, there - I won't post a link to one of his stupid posts, therefore there aren't any. Of course.

You thought nothing. The entire point of you sending me PMs is because I've responded to several of your more stupid comments. Are you really so dense that you need me to point them out to you again?

Do not PM me again.
Or are there just no post which are stupid?

You reply now and then i'll reply back
Guh.

Edit: I don't see the point in ignoring people on forums. It doesn't change the problem, it just covers it up.

Edit 2: He just PMed me again. Will be never learn?

a) the first OO "What are you..." thread was created for a joke, with Pickleworm and Futureworm exchanging "Eric Prydz - Call on Me"s.

b) by including "Right Now" it implies we're all sitting here eating at our computers. "What did you eat when you ate last?" makes more sense.

c) by including "Right Now", it's pretty damn obvious that he's copying off OO Listening and OO Playing.

d) he doesn't seem to understand the basic concept that continually making new threads just isn't a sensible thing to do. Fair enough, he's new, but he's not *that* new. He's been here since November, he should have got it out of his system by now.

e) even if it was a good thread, it's "boy who cried wolf" syndrome. We're automatically going to be prejudiced against any new thread he makes now, and the only way to counter this is if he resolves not to post a thread for several months so our prejudices calm down.

It was about how thread creation goes:

Wrong: I want to make a thread, I shall try to come up with an idea for it.

The problem with Shadowmoon is that he often, very clearly, falls into the second one.

Oh boy (http://forum.team17.co.uk/showthread.php?t=36858)

I just wrote this up, but I'm not sure whether I should post it. Thoughts?

Six things I don't like about Shadowmoon

1. He's pretty damn ignorant. Okay, fair enough, we can't all be geniuses, but there are certain things that stand out, like saying "We haven't covered that in school yet" for things that he could have read a book/asked his parents/Googled for to work out what we were talking about (and, as far as I'm concerned, at that age I'd have know about it already from reading around the subject). Ignorance is one thing, using it as an excuse is another.

2. Forgetting that wood is flammable. I admit that's a subset of 1, but come on.

3. He flips his opinion on something at the drop of a hat. Okay, fair enough, opinions should change with new evidence, but doing a complete 180 because of some random post suggests that all he's doing is following the crowd in a bid to be popular.

4. He keeps posting silly threads. Can't he just leave the "New Thread" button alone for, oh I dunno, six months?

5. Instead of going away, trying to work out why people don't like him, and returning with a better attitude, he just gets angry about things and... well, makes threads like this.

6. Like me he lives in Swansea, so there's the crippling fear that he'll work out where I live and turn up unannounced. "Hi, Mum, this is some guy I don't like from the Internet".

I think is more correct. If current trends continue, the A-levels will be as worthless as GCSEs in a few years. Not that it effects me anymore, but still.

I did isometric, perspective and orthogonal (I think that was what it was called) diagrams in graphics properly when I was 11, and had already done the basics of drawing diagrams with perspective before that.

Wow, you're incredibly lazy and also cerebrally bankrupt. The two appear to be working in tandum. Quite impressive - it's as if you know you're a braindead Magikarp who has no interest in self-improvement. This does not bode well for your future. I predict years of mediocrity. I predict you spending your life doing a job you hate, never thinking that maybe it's possible for you to exceed your own expectations and grow as an individual.

I now have more pity for you than I thought was possible. There is no trophy for this, no prize, no congratulations, no joke. You are simply a pathetic example of humanity. If you cannot better yourself in your own eyes, you cannot better yourself in the eyes of humanity.

Think about this. In your current state you are a burden, a leech, a bottom-feeder. I hope for your sake that you change as you grow older.
