Well, as you may know, its incredibly harder. Even i can do a game like this one, the coding for it is totally basic in action script. Just one tutorial or two away. But changing worm colors or rotating objects is completly diferent unless he would simply put the worm bodies there and the rotated versions, to help save space, he could do more frames of this, but that's also hard. I mean for any of those things he would need some help from some one who knew action script well, very well. I know a person or another, but i guess splapp should find some help on some sort of flash animator community or something, i'd recomend some but they have especific themes like worms so..probably a simple google search would do. (or www.sheezyart.com *advertises*)
Splapp, when you think you've reached a final version or something post it on www.newgrounds.com, i'm sure it would get an awesome score and loads and loads of people would see it i guess..estimating a couple thousand or more different people.

A way to colour worms:
Have around 5 different colours(a brown one of course)in the shape of a worm that you can pull over the original like the blob.

Worm color is a good idea, but more than anything else, IMHO, it needs alternate mouth poses. Maybe have the mouth very neutral by default and have different ones to lay over it for smiles and frowns and the like.

Also, yeah, Slick's hat and Munkee's hair. :p And maybe a smaller tongue meant to go more onto the side of the mouth.

The helmet is awesome, by the way.
