It's nearly CHIRSTMAS. Mmmm! There's a Christmas Sigworminator in the works, and i'm willing to take some suggestions for items. Notice the "Christmas" in the title, though. Try to keep things Christmassy... for example "My helmet with snow on it" i'll accept, but things like "The Easter Bunny" I will not accept.

Oh, and before people start SAYING things, it already has different mouths and worm colours. It also has a rather nifty snow-effect! :p

Yes, it is free, it's the Flash Player not the real flash program. What you really need is actually just a Flash Player 8 plugin for your browser... ;)

I'm not quite sure how Flash work with the layers to put some object in front of other, but you could make something for us to choose which object will be on the front.

Maybe some kind of "bring to front"/"bring to back" buttons like in Word, or maybe when we click on some object it comes automatically to the front, dunno what would be easier to make. But it would be a good feature. :)

For "move forward/back" buttons you'd use this.swapDepths(this.getDepth()-1); or this.swapDepths(this.getDepth()+1); though you'd need to be able to select items so that's a bit more complicated.

Anyways, my idea for selectable items would be to store the item's name in a variable when it's clicked, and then the buttons mess with that variable. You could do all sorts of stuff: Rotate them, resize them, duplicate them, etc. I just don't know if it's that useful for a Sigworminator :p
I doubt efficiency is a problem on a Flash where you just move items around ;) though I know how functions work, I can help if you want.

Hmm, it all seems a bit complicated. I think i'll just make it so items are in the proper layer order than actionscript 'em all up. Surely you'd rather see more items than for me to faff with code and clog up the screen with buttons? I know I would! :p
