Firstly, a crease at the corner where the tail meets the body would be nice. Secondly, more rugged shading, or anything to show that it is hanging limply. The way you did it makes it look like Spandex.
After that, smaller details, such as a collar that isn't perfectly round (should be limping down a bit at the front); or a collar at all.

Vectors are only some waypoints, you can use to make pictures that don't loose quality when you resize them.

I because I think I read that you make art using it... :-/it's sort of like drawing with a connect the dots book. you don't actually draw the lines, you just set the 2 points and then manipulate the amount of curve on each line to make the shape do what you want it to do. takes some getting used to, but it makes pictures easily editable. as it noticed by the fat version of superfrea I just did :p

Fireworks has been on my computer for a long time, but I just left it gather dust on my desktop. What can I expect from FW in terms of advanced options, since you said it's a stripped down PS?well among the tutorials that I've used, fireworks can do pretty much everything that photoshop can, but it's lacking in versatility in the areas of brushes and filters. the brushes can't be custom shapes as far as I'm aware and the eraser doesn't have the custom brush functionality as photoshop does. the filters aren't nearly as expansive as they are in photoshop, but the essential ones are mostly there and oyu can import up to photoshop 5 filters. no lense flare.

Also Akuryou13, please BE CAREFUL with the bishop. Everyone claims it hard, so please watch the W4:M box art to see how my bishop is.that hat is pretty simplistic. if I can do zeor's helmet I can do a bishop hat.

and the buck tooth thing was more a decision based on I thought of you as sort of a forum teenager, not being around TOO long but still being here a while. teens are awkward and as such I had to make you awkward looking. I went for tall and lanky and the buck teeth just seemed to fit :p

That comic was pretty funny man. I actually lol'd at slick's expression in the bottom left panal.

Yeeeeah, you should try and stay away from adding in extra details to sigworms, they just end up looking horribly deformed. Things like height and such can be included, but only if you're subtle with it. Making SuperFrea 150% the size of a regular worm is a bit much...

Making SuperFrea 150% the size of a regular worm is a bit much...it's just bad referencing there. the new guy is really short; being a child. notice his height compared to thomas in the second comic. super_frea is really not significantly taller than other worms.

in fact, I just compared it, and superfrea is almost exactly as much taller than thomas, as the new kid is shorter than thomas. if need be I can post the comparisons, but you'll see the difference noticably in future comics once others of more average height come into the story.

Anyone know if theres a mirror of the Fireworks trial? Adobe for some reason has them all locked until July 1st. I wanna try this, seeing as this can make some real good and smooth lineart. I can't (Don't know how to) do that in Photoshop..?

photoshop can use vectors as well for the same effect they're just not half as fluid or easy as the ones in fireworks. at least not in my experience. fireworks is also half the price if you're looking to purchase the thing, which I did.

I'm not being lazy and avoiding doing work as much as possible, I'm just copying old work when it fits. if an expression had been needed to get the point across I would've placed it there. it wasn't, so I didn't.

I don't want to use brush in Photoshop.bezier? and yeah, the rest works pretty well. you can set the width of the brush to whatever you want with the vectors, but the whole line will be the same width, keep in mind. you can also set the line to be different types of brushes, like splatters or other sorts of things. it's rather handy.

edit: just googled bezier curves. that is EXACTLY what the vectoring is in fireworks. I use that to draw everything I've ever drawn. hell, even half of the effects work I do is using the vector pen these days.

in this comic, for instance, I've made Super_Frea a simple country boy. obviously this is neither his personality or that of his sig, but I'm doing it anyway because I wanted to. PigBuster, whenever I get around to introducing him, will be using his profile personality because his real personality is somewhat generic in ways relevant to a comic. MtlAngelus will also be a main character in this comic and his character will be a HUGE exaggeration of a minor portion of his personality (huge to the point that aside from this statement telling you so, no one would likely be able to make the connection). my personality in this comic will be based on my character's personality which has grown up around me on its own, and is loosely based on both my own personality and that of the character in the original comics.

in summary: I'll do what I want, how I want and when I want within my comic. grow up and get over it.

I don't think you fully understand the relation between forum members and their sigworms.

First of all, sigworms can be anything you like, and don't have to represent who you are in real life. Am I crap detective in real life..... er... probably. OK, bad example, but you know what I mean.

When it comes to spoofing or mocking forum members in forum comics, that person's sigworm is the best way to do that. Everybody will associate Melon the detective with me, and if I do something incredibly daft in the forum, somebody might draw my sigworm in order to represent me. That's exactly what's happening here.

We know you're sigworm isn't meant to be silly, but there's still a connection between you and your sigworm, and in some ways it can still represent yourself. If Aku did something that deserved me mocking him, I draw his sigworm in Forum News. His sigworm wasn't the one who acted silly, but it's still a valid connection.

In comics sigworms will almost always have the same personality as the person they represent. No matter how different you want him to be to yourself.

There's person here tho that i wouldn't respect even if he was in my family.

I'm 14. One year doesn't matter much. I know 13 year olds that can be pretty mature, but can act silly. If they're irritating, i simply ask them to stop and they do. This is what you don't, really. Well, in a similar sense.

What I'm trying to say is:

Age doesn't equal maturity.

I'm fourteen, and immensely more mature than you.

You're not just like every other teen everywhere.
You're more like every four-year-old everywhere.

Most of my friends are like me.

There are some teenagers that are immature and i'm one of them.

When you all stop calling me names and stuff when i get things wrong i'll start to consider......

The only one I've ever seen calling you names is S2K. Female names, like "Barbra", i recall.
