Same here, I just enjoy the plots and overall feel, not the fact that it's Japanese or that some of its characters have overly large eyes, or that some contain nicely animated explosions.

You can't generalize anime series into one style! Each serie has it's own set of expressions, effects characters and clothes!
To me, if something is "anime" it's simply emo a cool drawing style you don't find in western series, it has a very long storyline, that usually goes very very deep. It's genre is at a different level than western series.
The fact that it is drawn, doesn't bother me, in fact, I like it drawn and I even made a few drawings of characters in Anime-series myself. Some I used as MSN-icons and people liked them, saying it was "so awesome".

At the moment, I'm teaching myself Japanese and boy, it's not that hard. The hardest bit is reading, but even that is relatively the same as any other language. Speaking/hearing Japanese is the easy part, because there are TONS of books, internet pages, classes, teachers who give class at a regular time that can help you.
I got 2 books, 1 proggy and a CD with Japanese words and grammar.
At internet, I go to international zones and type Japanese (in the familiar abc chars) but alot of people can read and reply to that.

The thing is: how can you judge a language you never tried? Prejudice... nevr good.

Exactly. Sorry for not making my point clearer, but I just don't think the Japanese language would make a comic any better. It would actually lower its target audience, since English (as far as I know) is a more well-known language all over the world than Japanese.

The dots are not supposed to appear black. All that illusion is supposed to do is make the dots appear to flicker. If you see complete and solid black normally, then you're strange.

Works for me anyway.

Mr. Starworms you are blind. The 'blizzard' as you call it is going from bottom left to top right; the same direction as the scarf is blowing in and, eventually, the person.

EDIT: after watching it for some time, it does look like it could go the other way if you wanted it to...but only if you told your brain to do so. I you look even closer you should see that the streaks of "blizzard" form a dotted line with a thicker dot on the right and the particles getting smaller and more distanced from each other. This gives the concept of the blizzard going from left to right.

I looked at it very very closely (1600%) and I have to say ur stickman is blue-ish XD and the wind-streaks are very thin, making em hard to see..:confused:
