You can just buy one from a uk site, it's not like they will be region locked.

If I'm not totally wrong, the Super Sheep first appeared in Worms Reinforcements in 1996, not 1995. :-/

Also, can those eyebrows on the plush toy be moved and re-attached with Velcro fastener? :D
Or are those three different looking models?

Actually it was in 1997, in Director's Cut.

Not just the eyebrows, but also the eyes and hands. Says so in the discription on the website.

A ewe is the female, mature sheep.

Makes me wonder though why the super sheep character in Worms Blast was called Calvin.

EDIT:
I want a sequel to Worms Blast.
This time with online network play, not only local splitscreen.
It could even support more than 2 players on the internet, e.g. with enemies to your left and right and the world wrapping around on the edges.
And more characters, weapons, modes and stuff of course.

Just curious, but is there any significant difference between the exclusive diorama and the regular diorama other than the fact that one of the worms is holding a banana bomb instead of a grenade?

Hah, you got me to imagine you to be living in a wooden hut somewhere in a scary forest with this statement. Though perhaps your house is simply the only thing you have worth at least $219.

Why prototypes? Those are amazing and don't need to be changed one bit!

bonz
17 Jul 2012, 07:42
Why prototypes?
Because the manufacturer of those plush toys can't magically produce them.
You need to create a prototype, create the construction blueprints and send it to him.

Or did you think that the Teamsters were making those themselves by hand at T17 HQ?

There are no sewing machines, needle and thread at the pub.
Also, it would be quite hard doing it one-handed, with a pint of beer in the other hand.

Very nice. I recently acquired the Super Sheep and a shirt - Amazon finally had these in stock.

Too bad I had no idea about the pricing of the diorama as I got really hyped for it. Was planning on getting that and the statue of the Heavy from Team Fortress 2. Would have been over $500. :(

Oh, I thought "prototype" meant that they were going to change the product some more.
They can, but they don't have to.

This is usually how it works: first company A will make a "blueprint", usually concept art of the toy in all kinds of poses and angles with any extra info needed to make it. They send it off to company B, which then make a single real toy prototype based on it and send it back to company A. They don't get produced straight away since company A isn't sure what they're going to get and company B isn't sure if it's what they want. So company A can get the prototype, check if it came out like they wanted and request any changes, and back and forth until both parties are happy and the prototype is finalized and gets mass-produced.

So a prototype is just a "first draft", something liable to change, it doesn't mean it'll change drastically.

bonz
24 Jul 2012, 08:58
And if the final product is a financial success, you can later sell the prototype on eBay for loads of money.
