Hello again everyone at Team17.

I've decided to create this thread for give you some feedback regarding to Worms 2 : Armageddon. For things to be fixed, improved or added.

I hope other members will complete that listing.

- Add Bazooka & Grenade. I'm surprised to see that mode has been removed :o Worms Reloaded and previous Worms on PSN got it.
- Allow to move kamikaze at 360°. That feature has also dissapear in Worms Reloaded.
- Allow to use jetpack when jumping. It's allowed in Worms PSN.
- Fix sound issues in Campagn mode : SFX works but not music (except for the first seconds).
- Improve loading time when browsing the stats (approx 1~2 minutes for refresh one page).
- Fix capitalisation of letters (as I said in another thread). I use French settings.
- Fix shotgun accuracy. When a worm is spoted with the red line, sometimes the shot is missed because bullets hit the ground before (just the head of the worm is not hidden in my testing).
- Allow players to choose to use Worms music or custom one (our MP3 in HDD).

Love this game, but there needs to be some fixes implemented as soon as possible.

Bug in Setting Number of Rounds
No matter what option you select (1,3,5) the max number of rounds stays at 1, and lobbies need to be re-created and invites sent. Extremely annoying.

Voice Chat auto cancels when match ends
It should end when the game session is ended by all/host, not when match summaries are still up on the screen.

Freezing
Game seizes up and freezes either at the start when host selects map or at the end. This happened in beta.

Invitation
Should have an option to join the game from the XMB message, which should launch Worms, like other PSN titles, especially since you don't need to put a disc in. At the moment, you have to be in the game to join via an invite.

Penalty for leaving a PSN game (rage quitting) Half of the ranked games I've played doesn't get a conclusion because people leave the game 3 minutes in after owning them selves.

I can't get to grips with W2:A for PS3.. It's so obvious that T17 are holding out for a "battle pack" further down the line. Probably trying to sell me maps I already own from their first PSN game.

They even promoted the game with weapons like the "mole squadron" which (supprise!) isn't in the game. What gives?

Can't do anything about that. The game isn't actually able to tell which person disconnected, just that the connection dropped. And they don't want to put in a "both players get punished" system instead.

This REALLY needs to be fixed ASAP. It's impossible to play online!

Endless looping jetpack sound if a jet packing worm gets knocked out of jet packing mode by another worm. The jet pack sound will loop again and again for the rest of the game. Quite annoying and if someone else uses a jet pack later in the game there will be two overlapped jet packing sounds playing.

This bug was also in the first game, back then the "fuel left" numbers would get bugged as well and stay in the air where the jet packing worm got knocked down. However I didn't see any floating numbers left behind in W2A but that might be because I hadn't used the jet pack enough for the numbers to appear before getting knocked down.

This happens sometimes when I am activating mines near enemy worms with a jet pack and then when the mines blow up the worm gets thrown, sometimes landing on my jet packing worm.

edit: hm after having this happen twice again I might be incorrect about the cause. I did not notice anything hitting my jet packing worm either time now.

It's in the game i got it as a pick up once! I've seen it a total of three times!
Also the Bug with the rounds is killing me, have to inv. everyone and restart after each round is no fun at all....

Seconded. The other bugs are bearable but I will never again buy a Team17 game if these remain unfixed. I'll make sure my friends won't either. :(

The freezing bug is annoying. I think it happens when one of the participants has a bad connection to the host, since I had it happen twice with the same four players and *not* happen when I kicked the player I was suspecting to be the cause, on the third try.

Is there no timeout or option to exit the game when "waiting for other players"? That needs to be added. A connection indicator in the lobby would also be useful.

Lastly, the lobby system is stupid. The automatic lobby selection means a troll host could sit on one and make it difficult for other people to start a game.

The looping sound bug seems to have something to do with replays. I got it twice last night. Once with the usual jetpack looping sound and once with the mine countdown beeps. I had the mine beeps looping for a whole game, way more annoying than the jet pack sound.
I usually have multiple people playing locally and as soon as a replay starts playing, everyone starts spamming x to skip, occasionally causing sounds to loop for the rest of the game. :eek:

No looping sound issues for my PS3.
Just got sometimes music turned auto to off when playing solo or online.

Choosing gamemode online

When playing ranked games theres no option to choose Fort/Pro/Standard very annoying as you quit until you get what you want.

Stats?

Ok i want stats both in offline games and more in online. Wins/Losses, Kills anything really cant get enough.

4th time i've seen it now(and if you dont belive me i dont care...)

And please Dear Team17 please fix the round bug. It's made almost stop playing MP at all!

maybe i'm just being thick but when I look at the leaderboard how can I see how well i'm doing. all I can see is the top 100 people in each category and i've no idea how to focus on how i'm doing.. so I have no idea what my stats are..

I also wish after a ranked game we could go back into the lobby again to play for a rematch

I'd also like BnG mode

Finally the lobby system either seems a bit basic or is doing a very good job at hideing things. When I go to make a custom game somtimes I will meet the same person over and over again, surely there cant only be 2 of us on the whole of the PSN playing this game, yet it keeps happening

So Team17, further to feedback as posted above by a number of players, - any comments/updates on Round Bug? Amongst all the bugs, this is probably one of the most frustrating parts of multiplayer.

I've figured out how to make the sound loop.

Start a game with 2 or 3 teams and move into a group of 3+. (so you can easily get a replay) Then make another worm jetpack over the group of worms and drop a mine or tnt or something while moving with the jetpack. The jetpack needs to be making the "moving sound" instead of the "idling sound" in the replay for the sound to loop.

After dropping the tnt or mine, keep moving with the jetpack in any direction as long as you can and then start pressing X rapidly to skip the replay as soon as it appears. Every time I've tried this I've gotten the looping sound. :(

Can you configure how many of them you start with etc? Do they need to be unlocked somehow? I haven't seen any of the xbox dlc weapons yet. If this weapon is included is there any chance of Worship being in too?

Morgan, I agree with you about the stats. I miss the stats and ranks etc from the first psn game :(

Hmmmm, was gonna buy this in a few weeks but if these haven't been patched I'll hold off. Shame was really looking forward to this after the other Worms game.

@bworm : For the weapon you're talking about (the 3 animals, I don't know what is their name in the English version), there will be a DLC coming out in the next weeks/monthes.

But since it seems like noone else has even seen this weapon ingame yet I guess he is either lying or got confused with another weapon like the buffalo of lies or something.

Hello again bworm.

I swear that all I said was true. Termites and ferrets are available in Worms Reloaded, but not yet in Worms 2 : Armageddon.
I've watch a video on YouTube posted by Team17 that show new features available in DLC in the Xbox 360 version. You can watch it here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPAdbP1GciA&feature=related).
That video let us see all the features already available in Worms Reloaded (Steam, PC) but added in DLC for Xbox 360. So that's why I guess PSN version will got the same one.

Just to let you guys know there will be a DLC this week here's some info: The Worms 2: Armageddon Battle Pack for PlayStation3 will be released in Europe for €3.99/Ģ3.19 via the PlayStation Network on Wednesday 17th November 2010.

So bring on the Ferrets and Termites for full online ranked games :D
And here's to hoping they'll fix some of the issues to!

Battle Pack DLC has glitchable leaderboards in the "Body count" -single players mode - I found this out by accident, and I was only doing my second try on "Manhattan" map. Donīt they test these at all before release? I did some ridiculous number of points (11232) to proof my point, and it only took an hour for some (first place)obsessed soul to beat it :rolleyes: I wonīt tell how to do it, but I guess this is so obvious itīs more easy to find out than not to find... (Team17 can contact me directly if they really canīt find it out themselves)

(Anyways, Iīm not really expecting them to fix this bug, after all I did complain about (time-attack)leaderboards being glitched in the first PSN-Worms, to no avail - they are still dominated by a glitcher).

Body Count on XBLA and Worms Reloaded had the same glitch. They really need to share fixes.

This was in reply to punishing the players if they quit before the end. A better way to put this would be that the game can't do it NOW, but if the programmers took this as a priority, they could rework the code and figure out a way of knowing who disconnected and for what specific reason. If other games can do it, why can't Worms?

Stats?

Ok i want stats both in offline games and more in online. Wins/Losses, Kills anything really cant get enough.
I would love having more stats to look at and compare with. Especially personal stats such as:
Weapon usage - How many of each weapon you have used.
Games won/lost - A collection of how many games you have won and lost.
Winning/losing streak - Highest winning and losing streak you have had.

And online stats:
Games won, lost, disconnects from you and from opponent
Fastest game
Longest game


Addons I would love to see:
[MAJOR] Ability to record games and save them onto the HDD and/or the ability to upload them onto youtube. (Would be nice to upload them to a specific server for in-game viewing. This way you would be able to move the camera around while you watch epic matches). You see this already happening with other games, and I would LOVE to show off some skills!

[MAJOR] The option to use much of the first Worms game in Worms 2. If we bought the first and second game, the first is pretty much obsolete BUT still has a lot of customizations that was left out of the second game, such as voices and level music. I know the developers worked hard on creating those, so why not keep them in use? It would also add a lot of reply value in terms of having more game options.

[MAJOR] Level creator!!! I would buy this if it was made, that is how badly I want this feature. The ability to create and save levels would be phenomenal, but even better would be to upload and download user-created levels. This could be for any type of game play (especially rope racing :D). Again, this would add a HUGE amount of replay value to the game and the potential for a LOT more developer/consumer fan-base interaction. Some ideas would be user created level of the week, developer level of the week/month (maybe even at a small price?). Prizes for best level. And so on...

[MINOR] RANDOM GAMES!!!! Make an option to allow for random game types, forts, music selection, and so on. Pretty much adding an option for making the entire game as random as possible for competitions, so no one can have the "upper hand".

[MINOR] We need more, and more, and more rope race levels! I can do a lot of the existing levels in either the first or second round. Also, adding these to online play would be fantastic. (I forget if it is already there, I just know its not for ranked games).

[MINOR] User ability to remake classic game styles. For example, I play a lot of forts with my brother, but we seem to always get to sudden death and I think its because of the turn time being set at 45 seconds. I would love to play forts with the turn time at 30 seconds.

[MINOR] Another idea was the ability to control where your next rope shot would go when flying through the air... But I can live without this because it takes skill to know where your next shot is going to land.

Developers: All of this CAN be done if it is put as priority. You have many consumers willing to pay for any and all Worms related products!

Please people, this list is dynamic and would love to see ideas come from it. If you like an idea, repost into your reply. And OP, maybe a ongoing list in the first post?

They need to fix the 2 smokin barrels voice. When i put it on my team i can hear it at the customization screen, but in gameplay the voice doesnt work

To me the quitter issue would be the priority. i know it was already said that it can't be done blablabla but still. theres so many players who quit right at the very end of a game it is extremely annoying i don't even play the game because of that.
oh and i'm sure there's a way : just disable the "quit" option in the menu for all online games and put a "surrender" option instead this way it gives you the win. Nobody waits their turn to use the white flag anyway, they just quit so put the white flag in the menu and that's it

Making the player use the already existing surrender item in-game is a great way to make use of the feature. However, replacing the "Exit Game" option with a "Surrender" function would be an even easier way to account the win/loss.

Please Team 17 fix the "Number of rounds" issue, i bought this game to play online with a friend, but starting a lobby, inviting a friend, playing the game and then starting all over is really one big pain in the ass, it's demotivating to play more...

This needs to be brought back!!

sounds like an odd request but this was one of the little things that made worms so funny

in the lava levels when a worm falls into the lava is used to go HISSSSSSSS

and in the space levels when a worm fell into the sludge it went gloooop


used to make me lol, now its just a water splashing sound , still funny but the older way was funnier

water levels - water splash sound when worms fall in
lava - singeing hissing sound when worms fall in
space - glooping sound when fall in


another thing is

when i play online with my friends for example i have 2 people playing in my room and two people their end, i want to be able to chose more than one team so we can have 2 teams each, at the moment playing online only allows you to select one team
