Applications for the Beta are now closed.

Team17 are pleased to announce that we will be conducting a limited closed beta programme for the PS3 version of Worms 2: Armageddon, to commence on March 1st 2010. Specifically, the beta will be focused upon network performance, and will not be offering any Singleplayer content.

The beta version of the game is for European residents only and will consist of the entire wealth of options that the game offers for Multiplayer. We are unlocking all worm customisations, weapons and game modes for you to play with online against fellow Beta participants.

Application Process

If you would like to take part, you will need to use the application form which can be found at: http://www.team17.com/beta/Worms_PS3_Beta_Application.doc. LINK REMOVED - APPLICATIONS HAVE NOW CLOSED

Please download it, fill it out electronically and send in an email to wormsps3betaapplication@team17.com.

Team17 Forum Account

To participate in the beta programme you will also be required to have a Team17 forum account to allow you to gain access to the beta forum. You can sign up for a forum account at http://forum.team17.co.uk/register.php. Applications that do not provide a Team17 forum username will not be considered for the beta programme.

PSN

You will need to have an active PSN account to download and play the Beta build.

Caveat

Please remember that the game is in a pre-release state which has not been optimised for all systems, and will in no way reflect the quality of the final released product. Participants will be required to agree to an NDA preventing the discussion of the game until after the beta programme has ended. The beta programme will be active for a limited period only and Team17 has the right to withdraw the beta programme at any time without explanation.
All personal information collected by Team17 during the beta programme will be stored locally, used only for the purposes of conducting the beta programme and will not be disclosed to any third parties.

for most things psn store and beta related Australia is considered part of europe (we fall under SCEE for some reason)

Awesome! I loved the Worms on the PS3 aswell as all the Worms-es on the PS1.

I'd love to sign up, but I can't open .doc files, is there any possibility someone can convert if to .rtf or .txt?

I honestly didn't know that a Worms 2 was gonna get made for PSN until today.
I"m playing the PSN original like almost every day if not every other day. This one's a definite buy when it gets released as well as the PC one.

Dang.. How could I let this one slip by :(

I got a confirmation, that I made the beta like a month or two ago and it said Team17 would send out the beta codes within 2 weeks. Never got anything after that email. Any news on the status? I was really excited about the beta.
