View Full Version : The most powerfull weapon in PS3 worms
As always that would be the banana bomb right? Nope dont think so...
The other day I got a banana bomb, I got a pretty perfect throw and it landed right next to the worm, so close he could kiss it. It blows and 3 of the bananas get him pretty good. Now for the moment of truth, how much damage did i just do?
The blast gives 75 MAX in damage so im gonna say 70 for the blast plus 3 bananas each doing 75 MAX damage, iŽll say 65 damage each, that gives me:
70 + 65 +65 = 200 aprox.
Now what i DID get was completly different, it only took 64 damage. IT ONLY TOOK 64 DAMAGE WTF?
Ever since worms 1 the banana bomb has had the same maximum damage in every game being 75 for each banana, so why isnt it the same in ps3 worms?
What is the maximum damage for the banana bomb on ps3 by the way?
By my calculations is aprox 10 MAX damage for the blast and 25 MAX damage for the bananas. Now thats,,,, thats just lame team 17.

The Donkey is far more powerful.

You see that flying over your head? That was the point. You missed it. Maybe you'll see it again next time it comes whizzing past.

Hell, I missed it too.
A guy got on a rope and dropped a b-bomb on my head. Only he didn't get off the rope. The result was all bananas shooting straight up and slapping him in the face at once for 130 damage while he was in mid-plummet. It was glorious.
As long as they still hit for 60ish minimal, I think they make a good upgrade from the cluster bomb, they were always overpowered, anyways.
And on the same subject, screw the donkey. It takes the whole point out of the game when you can kill anyone anywhere at any time.

That sounds incredibly hilarious!

I absolutely sympathise with you, I've had the same with cluster bombs / banana bombs too.
I cracked someone straight in the face with both and managed to knock off rediculous amounts, i think the cluster bomb took off a total of 3, yes "Three" after the blast and at least 3 of the segments hit the worm. In another case my gf was playing and took a full on hit by a cluster bomb, all fragments hit her worm in the face and it took off... 18. The guy on the end of the multiplayer game was going utterly mental, had his mic on :D
The banana bomb went off the same, smack on the worm and took off about 36 or something rediculous. Nothing near what I was expecting.
I have no idea why they've ruined these weapons so badly but it really needs fixing. If the weapons are meant to be so overpowered then give the option in the custom game modes to assign more HPs to the worms?

I don't have a problem with the way B-bombs and C-bombs are, since you mainly use them strategically now to drown worms in holes, but I love your point about HP manipulation. Playing a game with a good map, friends and worms with 500HP sounds ridiculously sweet.

Its not. Instead of being a long match of withering down the opponent's health, it instead turns into a drowning competition.
