Why Is it. since i played worms Armageddon the games have gotten less complicated and less exiting with the different range of weapons to choose from.

here is the best idea you team could do.

recreate worms Armageddon 1 with a little makeover with lots of guns lots of worms on each team and sell it on Xbox and Ps3

I for one Loved the challenge i got the worms Armageddon Training i LOVED THAT TRAINING beet times to get the medals Was an aw some idea you shouldn't of dropped it.

and as for missions damn the ps3 game sux 2 shotgun bullets each and u have won WTF. why cant we have Armageddon missions where u have to use a certain amount of turn's to get gold or a certain time. this is lame i expected more when i bought the game.

1 Question ) will the x box Armageddon 2 have all the above features and will it make its way to ps3 if it does because imagine the amount of people who would buy it DAMN it hurts thinking of all the money. and the amount of trophies i can get on my ps3 i would be challenged for months and months that's what players want.

P.S i have completed the new ps3 worms and i only bought it 7 hours ago.

Please At least have a poll on your website i have at least 19 friends who love Armageddon and that's just around my area damn

Okay, wild and wacky thought here, but did you ever consider actually playing Armageddon again rather than asking for the same game to be re-released? It... it won't bite you.

Playing W:A on a 360 or PS3 is pretty tricky...

i don't find it tricky i can use rope like i would on PC and can so most things i could on PC but the rope doesn't let you get to higher land on the PSN worms Lame it takes skill to use the rope like that now they removed it.

and a remake for ps3 and x box if just for a fun with friends and online battling over PSN wound be awesome. not to mention the trophies for training and missions. also Actual PSN trophies for completing all the training and missions and so on. this game would rock on ps3 and x box.

i do have it on PC but its no as fun cus no one to play it with everyone else it to busy cod 5 or cod 4 or battlefield, all other games.

plus i would be much to make it work on ps3 or x box would it ?

In this post I will try to explain this thread to you, 2.D-Hell:

In this quote, Plasma suggests you play W:A, the PC game from scratch:
Okay, wild and wacky thought here, but did you ever consider actually playing Armageddon again rather than asking for the same game to be re-released? It... it won't bite you.

In this quote I emphasise the fact that you can't play a PC game on a 360 or PS3:

Yes. Yes it would be a lot of work.
You'd have to completely rewrite the code for the completely different architecture of the consoles, use separate graphics processing code for each (since both consoles use a different method for graphical display, and because TV's are wildly different from Computer Monitors) reconfigure the controls to work using both wired and wireless controllers (probably through the console's system calls though, having said that), burn lots and lots of copies of the game after finding a publisher for each format in each console's proprietary data format AND THEN advertise AND THEN sell the game.

Oh, and provide manuals, support, patches, and deal with about a billion people whining about something or other.

Not to mention getting permissions of distribution from Namco Bandai (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Namco_Bandai) (MicroProse got bought by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spectrum_HoloByte who got bought by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hasbro_Interactive who got bought by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infogrames who sold out to Namco Bandai (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Namco_Bandai)).

But then this is complicated because part of MicroProse got bought out by Interactive Game Group recently, and part of that was then sold to I-Drs. So anyone could really own part of the W:A rights ;p

You... do know that W:A was continuously updated and still is, right? Unless you're using Windows7 Beta, you shouldn't have a problem.

Or, to sum up:A swift kick in the pants.

Now that they made Worms PSN, team17 has the base for ps3. I mean it must be possible to enhance it easily.
At least easier than to port W:A

robowurmz

Yeah, you could enhance the current PS3 game - but porting W:A (which is what this guy was saying) is totally out of the question.

That's what the leaderboards are for. In WA, you just competed against a fixed time but in Worms PSN, you compete against the best 1000 times in the world. If you aren't in the top 10 or even top 100 then you didn't get "gold" and should replay the levels for a better time.

That's pretty damn sweet, actually. Beating a game is certainly less difficult than beating everyone who plays the game.

Is anyone here number 1?

There's an easy way to get W:A on PS3... get the PS1 version. Now if Team17 put it on the PS Store, that would be cool.

I doubt that they:
a: would be able to or have the budget to
b: would want to, considering that the PC version is far superior thanks to updates and patches.

A port of WA for ps3/x360 really isn't likely.

How? putting a PS1 game on the PS Store as a PS1 classic would be really cheap, since the game is old and any money made is pure profit.

Yeah, the PC version of Armageddon will be better than the PS1 version because of the updates but even the PS1 version of Armageddon still is better than the current PS3 game.

Actually, I just made a wild guess that it would require some sort of compatibility fixing or something similar, as an explanation why there aren't a huge library of games up.

It wasn't a very good guess.

The real reason why there aren't many PS1 classic on the store is because Sony are useless :D

They are probably worried that it would outsell their own game. And on top of that there is of course the licensing issues, as I mentioned in the previous post the publisher for W:A has been scattered to the four winds, and I'm sure that some small company that needs a bit of cash and got a bit of MicroProse will try to sue Team17 if they do anything like rereleasing W:A.

iPaul

MicroProse no longer exists.

I must say I'm suitably impressed with Worms PSN, having bought it and played it for a couple of hours.

It's not W:A, I grant you, but there's a deathmatch mode and online play, What more can you ask for?

The only weapons you need are the grenade and the grenade. ;)

MicroProse no longer exists.
No; it got bought out by many companies, many of which then dissolved and sold the rights to all their games to many smaller companies. Have a look at their history on Wikipedia.

MicroProse was eaten by Hasbro Interactive, who were eaten by Infogrames, who now trade under the Atari name. The exact same thing happened to Ocean Software.
