Mainly curious after hearing about the new Worms in the works for the 360, as I'm wondering if there's going to be future improvements/patches for us PS3 users here. I mean, Worms for PSN wasn't a one-shot deal I hope with no future support.

For what it's worth, the PS3 edition does have a few bugs (ninja rope oddities, camera tracking issues, voice-chat, etc), mostly in the online play, and some quirks, as well as things I'd wish were included (subtle things such as being able to force the overall team health bars to show all the time, as well as being able to mute others' mics).

I'd gladly pay for a proper mission pack ("kill the other team" got boring for me 3 campaigns in, the other 17 just being a chore to finish for the sake of a bronze trophy), new weapons, and etc, perhaps something to match it up content-wise with what the 360 users will receive in Worms 2:Armageddon down the road.

Yeah, I'd buy DLC with new weapons and map settings... but the price is tricky, though-- it would have to be a BIG cache of weapons, though, it the price were anything above $1.99. Otherwise, I'd probably not buy it right away if at all.

For an add-on, I'd rather they just go all out and charge $7 for it, which would bump the game's total price-tag to $19.99 as far as the USD pricing is concerned. For something of that value I'd be expecting a full fledged campaign (akin to that of the Worms Armageddon, World Party, Open Warfare 2, etc), more weapons (especially utilities, I'm naked without my parachute and drill), and more user-functionality (although I'd more prefer this kind of stuff being patched into the original game, things such as worm placement for example).

The change that they will bring DLC to the PSN is nihil, if you ask me. They have already forgotten about the PSN version. Theyre focusing all theyre minds on the Worms 2: Armageddon. I guess.

Personaly i don't think there will be any pack or add-on with extra weapons and stuff considering that not everybody will buy it, the people who don't buy the add-on will get a huge disadvantage if they play against the ones who buy it.

So that leaves the patch possibility, why not... But it's more profitable for team17 to leave us with this game as it is and release a new worms game to buy in a few months. That's what happened with WOW and then WOW2 (which was real good and could have last long if the st*p*d publisher did not mess it up).

Man, fixing the camera and the freezing and throwing in a parachute would be enough to make me a happy camper. But this other stuff wouldn't be bad either.

By the way, "and etc." translates to "and and others". People in olden days would sometimes write it "&c." (still pronounced "et cetera"), which seems to me like an okay idea when I see stuff like this.

Fixes for some of the reported things are on the way (we'll see to that after European release).

DLC/updates are being discussed currently.

Well that's good news, any patch/update will be appreciated!

Thanks for the heads-up Spadge.

I do hope the title sells well enough to justify the additional development time for add-ons, as a fair amount of us waited quite awhile waiting for a PS3 Worms title after the 360 got their turn (and now another coming up...) eons ago, I just want it to last as long as possible. @.@

I'm tempted to go out and make a general "list of issues/quirks" thread......will be gathering some information before I set out to do that.

I hope the PSN version is brought in line with Armageddon because atm it's just an HD version of Open Warfare 1.

But how would it work out for the people that don't buy the add-on content? Are there enough people with the game to keep it alive? Or would the people with the add-on content be able to mix into games without the DLC?

A patch for the couple of issues would be stellar, at least a fix for the camera and voice chat and I would be set.

Well they would be left behind. Armageddon is mostly single player stuff anyway, campaign stuff but that wouldn't matter since most people would buy an Armageddon add-on, i'm sure of that.

I would buy it, but imagine someone having the weapon add-on of armageddon, playing online against someone that doesnt have it. Online gameplay would need to have gameplay types for Armageddon(I say armageddon DLC as an example as that's what i would want lol) and some for both patched and unpatched, similar to what we have now. The more people buying the DLC, the more the people without are at a disadvantage. there must at least be a quick way to identify these games when looking for a lobby.

I believe those who bought this game were in it for the online multiplayer. I know I was, can't wait for the european release so you guys have time for the fixes!

Well then if someone who didn't buy the DLC played against someone who did, then they could use the weapons but only if they aren't the host. They wouldn't be able to play on the DLC maps though.

Or allows the players to host an 'add-on' server, like Metal Gear Online. That way players can opt to play vanilla Worms PS3 with those without add-ons, as well as those who ponied up the extra cash for more content.

I pretty much like the PSN edition of worms, but Word world party was the best.
Please release a DLC with much more backgrounds and themes, we now have about 5 which is ridiculous (all due respect). We want MORE please! :)

Given that Team17 categorically stated that they would not be making additional weapons available as DLC for the 360 version, I think it's safe to say the same is true of the PS3 version.

Where is the mole bomb? Where is the parachute? Where is the low-gravity? No mail strike, no mole strike, no sheep strike, no mine strike,no battle axe, no suicide bomber, no homing pigeon, no sheep launcher, no pneumatic drill, no bungee, no salvation army, no mb bomb, no scales of justice, no freeze, no ming vase, no magic bullet, no skunk, no carpet bomb, no old woman, no mad cow, NO EARTHQUAKE! And where the hell is my select worm? Get it together in a nice little bundle and give me my thirteen bucks worth Team 17!

I'm going to assume that your post is one made out of unknowing ignorance as opposed to willful stupidity.

All of the features you are whining about came about in later Worms games. Worms PSN is, like Worms XBLA, more or less a straight remake of the original Worms (albeit with some additional weapons thrown in). Worms 2: Armageddon (or Worms Armageddon: Decades, depending on where you read about it) is going to be more of a remake of Worms Armageddon with some of the better features of Worms Open Warfare 2 thrown in.

Rather than ***** and moan about how a game that wasn't supposed to have stuff in doesn't have the stuff it's not to supposed to have in it, why don't you do a little bit of research?
