I can´t login to wormnet (PSP) since yesterday.
Are the server down or is it just me?

I still can't login.

It uses these hostnames. All resolve and are listening on port 3074 but I can't tell what the problem is since the traffic is encrypted.

I finally signed up!!! This is the only place that could give me answers. I thought everyone was gonna delete me from their buddies list because I waznt playing. Its almost been a week. None of my other game servers are working either

Haven't been able to log in for a couple of days now.

Any chance someone can go bounce the server or something...

Was this the end of the psp Wormnet or is it only a temporarly problem which you try to fix?

I wrote PMs to parsley & Spadge from Team17, but they don´t answer.
They were logged in often here in the forum but they don´t answer.

It's been a while since wormnet doesn't work and still no news from team17, seems they don't give a damn about online players...

They make new games for X-box live and PS3/PSN, but they give a **** to PSP users!

I read on the web that THQ was in deep trouble, surviving chance 50/50, is this the reason for the Servercut?

If this is the reason we understand it, but no infos is a slap in the face of all Fans!

If you have a complaint about the WOW2 servers, please consult THQ Inc, who are the publishers of the title and are responsible for the agreement with Demonware (i.e. the servers). Unfortunately this is outside of Team17's control, as we don't control them.

On any occasion where Team17 have had the ability to keep legacy title servers going, we have done so (running some for 10yrs or more).

For your information, we have tried to contact THQ about this but have not had a response either.

Indeed, I don't actually think you've ever shut any game servers down, right back to Worms 2, which was, I believe, your first game with online servers, (which is why when I thought you were running these servers, I was quite surprised), so it's good to know it isn't you who have broken that record.

Thats too bad, I just discovered that the servers are down. I havent played this in a while and now the only reason I was goin to play it is gone. :(

I don't think so. Its further complicated in that Demonware (who hosted the servers and its their online tech) were acquired by Activision some time back.

It depends how the game works. Most modern games are designed to operate with only one server (whose URL or IP address are hard-coded) and have no provisions for redirection of the connection to another server. I suppose if it uses a domain name rather than an IP address in the code, the domain name could be bought by Team17, but I doubt that will happen, especially if the URL has something about demonware, THQ or activision in it.

Is THQ protected against this, was there any contract breached, does the game documentation explain that online play may not be available after certain time from the release date has passed?

I'm just curious.

OK... that's bad news.

Now i'm thinking what to do with this game? I probably won't play it anymore if there's no online playing... Let's hope team17 will figure a solution??

Otherwise i'll hopefully meet you guys with worms on PS3.

There is no need for this game without online Mode, so I will sell it soon...
