The game requires Direct3D for rendering the polygonal character models.

If your graphics card supports OpenGL, you could try out the batch file found here (http://wormsblast.team17.com/main.html?page=good&area=down&lang=uk).

Nope now it blanks a little longer, makes a sound, and goes back to the desktop:(
