View Full Version : Problem with 8+ kills badge(DS).

I only have two badges left, one is long distance (can wait for another time) and one where you have to make 8 or more kills in one match. My problem is that I don't have enough friends to get that big of a match so my only option is to do a 3 or 4 player random match, but ever since day 1 I tried both 3 and 4 at all times of the day everyday but to no prevail.

Join the club, man. Berserker is the only award I need, and I haven't even gotten one three- or four-player match. I even tried to set one up on GameFAQs. There were three of us, and we first attempted to connect to a 3-player random deathmatch at the same time. Then we joined each other's friends lists and tried to set up a match that way. STILL no dice. After 90 minutes of this, we just gave up. I'm now perfectly willing to cheat and to help others cheat to get this award, if I can ever get a multiplayer match set up to begin with (World War I or Desert War level, Full Wormage, Single Landmass, make a big deep hole with two sticks of dynamite, get eight+ worms to the bottom of the hole, Concrete Donkey). Based on the difficulty of even setting up such a match, it seems impossible to get the thing otherwise.

What's the point of having the medal if you only get it by arranging with friends to sort fixing the result? Is it worth the effort?

Well, right now I have a gaping hole in my medal cabinet that I figure is impossible, or at least nearly impossible, to fill by legitimate means. But maybe I'll change my tune if somebody can chime in here claiming to have an easy time getting into 3p/4p multiplayer matches (whether using the friends list or otherwise).

Or how about this question: anybody here EVER get a random match with more than two players?

Edit: Oh, and let me say a few more things. In one sense, it's cheating, but in another sense, it's always been a part of Worms games to construct dramatic mass death scenarios, so even if the medal cabinet weren't there, there would be people who would do this kind of thing. And the medal is called Berserker, so you have to assume a certain amount of crazy recklessness was implied.

good point eyedunno. it was always fun to stack a bunch of worms on top and launch them into orbit together.

i'm on your friends list. look me up sometime on AIM if you want to try this insane effort.

You can get this medal with only two players. Kill a worm, revive with lighting strike, repeat 8 times :)

Oh my god! That's a great idea! It works then? Can't wait to try this.

BTW, MM96, you're on my list now, and my own code is 2749-8807-7039

Two words: custom scheme
I just set one up with 1 HP for all worms, indestructible terrain, infinite shotguns & uzis, infinite lightning strikes, and infinite movement tools (teleport, rope, etc.). That shouldn't take long at all. Just cluster three of your worms near each other in a pit of some sort. Then, when all worms are in their respective pits, take turns using the remaining worm to use shotgun/uzi to kill all the worms with one shot and lightning strikes to revive all three at the same time. Rinse and repeat. :)

Edit: Thanks to the gracious assistance of worMatty, I tested the Lightning Strike kill-and-re-kill trick, and as for whether or not it works, well, a picture is worth a thousand worms, erm, words.

I'll gladly help anybody out with this, but due to being in a weird time zone (Japan) it might be better to just find somebody else on your own. And yeah, a scheme like the one above works like a charm.

This thread isn't about all that. Please actually read the thread instead of just looking at the pretty pictures. I'll try to help you anyway though.

Tough Nut medal: Make sure you've beaten all of campaigns. Replay campaign #30 and all of the unlockables if you have to. If you don't have campaign 30 yet, it means you haven't completed something else.

Here's how to beat ALL draw levels. Try it once without drawing anything, see what happens, then draw in adjustments. It's trial and error. As for Draw #7, it's easy. It only took me three tries. Don't worry at all about the beginning. You will travel down all the ramps going right with no adjustments. You need a wall at a very steep angle leading to the next set of ramps to make you change directions. Then draw a line leading from the end of the last ramp to the platform before the exit. If you did it right, that should be enough - only TWO lines total. And be patient if you don't get it. Keep trying, rather than posting on forums, since it's not easy to help someone with draw levels anyway.

It just makes it harder to make sense of the thread if a lot of people do it, and it's less obvious from the front page that somebody's asking a question. I'll post a response in your new thread. :)

Maybe I'm confused by off-topicness but wasn't it Wormetti who made the suggestion, not worMatty?

I made the suggestion (I already knew it worked) but worMatty was the opponent Eyedunno played against to "earn" the medal.
