To expand on that: The lab mode you get on the DS, which I've heard is quite fun, is not present on the PSP. On the other hand, the PSP has hats, which the DS doesn't.

I've said it before, but you get a hat when you're placing a girder. :)

You also get a hat of sorts with the Fire Punch/Dragonball/Kamikaze weapons.

Don't say that, Paul! Now they'll want to know where the SUPER SECRET DS HATS are!

I'm a little confused at that because they said that hats wouldn't look good on the DS yet the helmet and bands looked great on them:confused:

Okay. Let's get something very clear.

The worm graphics on the PSP version of WOW2 are largely vector-based. The PSP also allows hardware antialiasing, so sprites such as hats can be rotated and smoothed on top of the vector worm.

The graphics on the DS version are sprite-based. They're essentially "pre-rendered" versions of the PSP graphics and are put together in largely the same manner as the sprites for 2nd-gen Worms games (Worms 2 to WWP). The weapon-specific hats, in this instance, are pre-rendered, rendered at the same time as the worm. In order to implement the custom hats feature on WOW2 for the DS, they'd have to rendered each and every worm sprite with the unique hat. That would require a lot of space on the game card, not to mention a lot of memory to store those sprites in-game.

There. Can we please drop the "No hats in DS" subject now?
