when you download a profile and you look at the location. Is it the players location or something else?

It defaults to Team17's headquarters in the UK.

The player can set it to whatever location they wish, however, by going to their profile and clicking "set location". This doesn't mean it's necessarily where they live, although I'd imagine most people would be placing it around their general area.
