Well, I finally hit top ten not once but three times. This was a joyous moment for me so I decided I wanted to do better than 9th or 10th so that I don't get bumped out too easily. The first time I hit 10 and played again, I had first turn in a BnG match. I made the grenade shot to end all grenade shots from across the map and it exploded perfectly to knock his worm off the edge and drown. He disconnects, I get a loss.

Rince and repeat two more times and here you have me very ****ed off. Why? Why in the world would some jackass turning off his DS have to punish ME? The only reasonable explanation is that you don't want to ruin the ladder by having people get free rank ups... but on the same token, why would you give rank DOWNS?

I'm hoping this is a server side calculation because while WoW2 isn't Unreal Tournament, those of us that play it competitively certainly will not care about ranked matches if this system continues to run.

I've already given up on ranked play for this reason. The game is so much better on random play and you can even get 3/4 player games now sometimes.

Yeah just happened to me a fourth time, bumped out of top 10 because of it.

I was a bit too nice in my previous message; let's revise.

Dear THQ and Team 17. This game is hands down one of my favorite for the DS. The wifi compatability really makes this title shine. I have been recommending it to everyone I know. I am a competitive gamer, not yet professional, but I do participate in tournaments or leagues such as caleague.com . The ranked matches on WoW2 are very enjoyable for me and every other competitive player here. However, due to the "everybody loses" functionality on wifi when either player disconnects, it is very frustrating to have players, knowingly or not, give me a loss because they had to go or just gave up. Even worse is when they give me a loss through poor sportsmanship.

I have been praising this title as easily one of the best on the DS. However, this issue is currently a game breaker for me online. Unless it gets fixed, I will be unable to continue getting people interested through word of mouth (to say the least). Please fix this, thanks.

i play forts alot i am number seven on the leaderboards. tThat would be nice if we gained points whenever someone quits. I still think ranks dont matter, i play for the fun of it.

Xilas, the way I understand things, you are not being given a loss when your opponents disconnect. The reason you get knocked out of the top 10 is that while you wasted your time drawing a game, others completed and won theirs, earning enough points to surpass you on the standings.

look at the bright side, not everybody makes it to the top ten, some people aren't in the top 200 or so. you are a very skilled player i'm guessing.

Well I don't get moved over 15 hour periods so I'd be shocked if 4 times straight another game just happened to bump someone in.

Games happen all the time. Leaderboards are tough to get your teeth into.

I'm pretty convinced you lose ranking when someone drops on you, I've had some insane drops in score sometimes!

I appreciate the suggestions that other games are running and people are moving up and down. However, that is not the case so please stop trying to promote that idea.

I hope ranking could work for me. I already got field marshall, veteran, win streak and annihilation badges but it just won't rank my scores. :(
