I don't normally ***** about portable versions of games too much, as i was one of the few that got some enjoyment out of the first open warfare on ds (even though it wasn't nearly as good) but i've noticed a glaring omission and am puzzled as to why it's not included.

i was in a particularly intense match with a slew of computer teams (as i'm at work on my lunch hour and not online) and i ended the match with a particularly devastating blow. my mind suddenly drifted back to what would happen on worms 2 when you did a certain amount of damage with one attack, an instant replay!

why wasn't this included on an otherwise near-perfect worms offering.

is it really that hard of a feature to include in a portable version of worms?

i just remember concentrating really hard on making my kills and then smiling from ear to ear as i leaned back in my chair and enjoyed just watching the devastation happen, a few seconds after the end of the match.

or laughing in my oponents face when i used to play w2 on my computer with friends, swapping back and forth on the keyboard...

was it the technology? the ds can't handle it? and is it in the psp version?

anyone have any insights, and am i the only one that noticed?

yeah,i noticed that too. they should have put replays on the ds. it would be good. why should the psp have it and the ds shouldn't?

As a stab in the dark I'd say lack of memory? That was the only reason I heard for why the lack of replays in Worms 3D, and I've heard the DS has fairly low specs.

But, that's just a guess.

if that's true, i guess i can handle it. i don't even want to save replays, i just miss being able to gloat as i watched a particularly spectacular banana bomb go off, or cringe as i watched my whole team fly in different directions and half of them land in water...

The DS only has 4mb of RAM.

I would imagine that's the reason.

if you're playing two players with one card then whoever is waiting for there turn has a slower function. in other words, if your beseide each other and if it's your friends turn then watch on his ds and what ever happens on his happens slower on yours so you get a replay... sort of. :D

That's just lag you're talking about there. But if you can get 4 people playing then you could possibly catch your "replay" four times!!
