Every match I've played over the last two days has started with a long pause then revealed that my opponent has quit, then thrown me out of the game. I must have tried to play about twenty times in a row now and this keeps happening.

Anyone know what's going on?

Were you disconnected from the Nintendo WFC? If you were, you would have gotten a WFC error code and been dropped back to the screen where you have to re-connect...

That's been happening to me on and off. Most errors are 54000 which basically means that the connection was interrupted on WFC setup (54000 = 1, 54001 = 2 54002 = 3, 54003 = Nintendo WFC USB thingie), but my signal strength was full, so I guess it was probably because other people were on the wireless network as well...

But that's my own experience.

No, definitely not. It just quits the game and updates the rankings. This is getting to be quite frustrating now.

happens to me too, even with friends online, it takes like 3 or 4 minutes just to look for them in search

Yeah, that happens to me too. I don't know if the other person has laggy internet or what, but exactly what you describe.

Not the same thing. I'm getting into games quite quickly but once in there's a long pause followed by the other player waving a white flag and the game quitting.

Hmm...though you're getting on the WFC, it still sounds like you might be having a firewall issue. I'm not having any of those problems. Occasionally someone will quit a game before it starts, and it's probably the same or a similar issue as yours. But for myself, it's no problem. I'd suggest checking your firewall settings and make sure that you have the port ranges open that Nintendo requires. Check out their WiFi site for the exact ranges.
