does the shop ever get new items?
ye know how in AC:WW, whenever ye connected to Wi-Fi certain days,
one would get special promo items?
ram the crannberrie fields with dice!

This doesn't work like AC:WW though. There's seems to be just enough money from campaigns, puzzles, lab tests, and tutorials to buy everything in the shop, so I doubt there's anything else. What's there is pretty good, if you ask me - aside from my tombstone (since they're not customizable :( ), I got my teams exactly how I wanted them. I didn't buy this game thinking it would have Kamikaze and Redneck voices, but I was very pleasantly surprised that it does. It feels just like my teams from World Party have lived on into another game. :)

right, in my opinion then, the shop is worthless.
it tries to give one that fake feeling that ye're buying something when it just could've been incorporated into a new unlocked item each time you beat a challenge.

I disagree. With the shop, you can choose the order you get unlockables in. In my own case, the things I wanted most to customize my teams were Kamikaze and Redneck voices, so I got those first. And I didn't care much for skin colors, Blast levels, and Draw levels, so I got those last.

exactly
so now u have lost SOME motivation to complete challenges since you already have what you want.

Not me. I have 100% complete. :)
Some people might lose motivation, but the challenges are not what this game is really about anyway; it's about the multiplayer. Once the challenges are completed, there's nothing to do but multiplayer anyway, and it's nice to make it easier for people to customize their teams early. Besides, you still can't unlock all the FMVs unless you complete all the campaigns, and you can't get all the single player medals unless you complete everything else. Isn't that enough?

I'd rather do the missions and puzzles and so on through wanting to (either because it's fun or because of a certain "dammit-I-know-I-can-do-this" factor) than through having to slog away arbitrarily just to get the Tykes soundbank.
