Step 1: Tell us if it's DS or PSP (edit: nevermind)

Step 2: If it's DS, go and add us to your friends list (see the appropriate thread).

Step 3: If you add me (or anyone else who you want to add you), PM them, they'll probably want to know.

Step 3a: Oh yeah, it may be useful to tell your friend code to the person that you added...
