There's a thread about it on Nintendo's NSider DS forum -- someone claiming that retailers are saying that the game has been pushed back to Sept. 18 for release in the U.S. Any truth to that?

[Amazon.com (http://amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_i_0/103-8848533-1382208?ie=UTF8&rs=&keywords=Worms%202%20Open%20Warfare&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3AWorms%202%20Open%20Warfare%2Ci%3A videogames)] have pushed back their release to September 18th. [BestBuy.com (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp;jsessionid=JZMEWA0K3CAQVKC4D3GFAHY?_dy ncharset=ISO-8859-1&id=pcat17071&type=page&st=Worms+Open+Warfare+2&sc=Global&cp=1&nrp=15&sp=&qp=&list=n&iht=y&usc=All+Categories&ks=960)] continues to list tomorrow as the release date, while [GameStop (http://www.gamestop.com/search.asp?Ntk=TitleKeyword&Ntx=mode%2Bmatchallpartial&Ntt=Worms+Open+Warfare+2&N=0)] appears to eb selling them online and in stores already.

Having investigated this previously, it just looks like Amazon.com are getting a later shipment than everyone else. There may be any number of reasons for this - perhaps Amazon put their orders in too late, or they have an outstanding debt with the distributor. If you're desperate for the game then you can pick it up at GameStop or EBGames now, but I would seriously advise against giving them your money. Wait until BestBuy have it in stock.

this has been discussed so much and the bottom line is: unless you're ordering from amazon you should be able to get it, no later, then the sixth (tomorrow)

Indeed. I just called my local GameStop who have confirmed that they have received their shipment of the PSP version today, with the DS version due to arrive in store soon.

At first I was so happy but then you said the DS was comming soon. still, thats a start and it's only one day so I guess I can wait.

Gee, I can't wait until the local retail stores decide to get with the damn program so I can finally go buy this game and finally get a chance to freaking PLAY IT! http://www.themanandhischeese.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/mariorock2.gif

I did the same. I don't like giving GameStop my money, largely because 90% of the time they don't want to take it, but if I'd stuck with my Best Buy preorder I wouldn't have the game in my hands until Monday at the earliest.

As you can see from my sig, I now have both versions. Yeah.

I dunno, I trust GameStop (not as much EB--I know they're the same company, but it seems that smarter people work in the GameStops) a whole lot more than best buy, but it is personal preference...

Anyway, why'd you get both versions?

I think he got both because of two reasons

He's the creator of dream17 and he needs both versions so that he can keep up with the news on W:OW2
The PSP and DS have a lot of diffrent things in them, such as the PSP having hats but the DS has lab mode

Spot on. Also I wanted to be able to face off against anyone, not just certain people with a particular version.
