I dunno if it's the same with the DS version but I noticed something cool while playing a replay. Watch yourself:

the replay

Ok, for this thread not to be so pointless, I want to say that I like the game, but there's something with the rope I don't like:
The behavior of the rope.

In w:a or wwp the rope would always go like a mirror, if you have the rope completely horizontal to the right, next time it will go completely horizontal to the right and so on.. Here the rope always kinda goes to a maximum of ~30-40° and never horizontally (which would be around 80-89.9°). Did you make it this way to have the rope easier for the beginners?

That's not true. It's never been that way. This part of the rope physics is exactly the same in W:A/WWP and in W:OW2.

I made the videos using a screenshot-plugin for homebrew-able psp's.

@asl: i don't know if you mean it ironic, but its the same oO! i only like the coloured circles showing the was the nanas or worms fly ^^

@GoDxWyvern: I guess I have to admit you are right. >.> I noticed now that the rope always doesnt go more than maybe ~45°. Maybe I got to get used to the rope in WOW2, because it's faster (when 'shooting' it) that the old one.

Anyway, just another thing:
I played my first online-game yesterday and this is how it went:
We were 4 players and it worked all fine, if you don't mind the 15sec pauses (waiting for other players...) after each turn. Anyway, we played one game and I think the scheme was set to 2 games. So we started the next one. While playing suddenly a 'window' appeared saying that "this game is not available anymore", and I got disconnected. ok, what was that?

Host left.

Hi there,

Okay, two things...

The network will do absolutely anything it can to keep the game running...

First off, host migration: as long as there are two players left, the game will continue...

Secondly, the network detects very swiftly that things have gone wrong and resynchs the entire gamestate... and the game continues.

No, it's not the previous worms...

As for the replays being different to what actually happened, this is a known problem and has apparently been in worms for a while. I suspect there is something that is happening in this particular instance that is chosen at random (ie. how the banana bomb bounces), and because its random when the game starts from the same state and banana bounces differently it can change the outcome entirely... be rest assured though when you go back after the Replay, the first original outcome will be the one that you are left with, not the replay outcome...

You would think they would save and restore the random seed value before replaying the replay, this would fix the problem, but they havnt, I have found it happens when certain events are involved (these events must have ranomality in them), like the Banana bombs for example...

Watch carefully, you'll notice on the original, 2 clusters fly to the right and land on the teapot, slightly to the right of CAJUN, while in the reply, only 1 cluster flys to the right, but landing slightly to the left of CAJUN...
If you watch even more carefully, you can also observe that the trajectory of the clusters is indeed different in the replay.

Omg, I did'nt notice that the replay is really different. oO "Cajun" falls in two different directions. :D It's not good but I don't mind it, it isn't a bug which destroys the gameplay.

@Network: parsley, like you said, the host moves, so if he leaves, the next player becomes the host. But why did my game end? Did all other players leave the game maybe?

Without exactingly detailed informationI can't say.

I can only keep the game going so far... if there's only two players left in a game and one of them fails, then I have to finish the game. Who failed? Who turned off their machine? It's not possible to tell.

All of the other player leaving is certainly possible, but more likely is that your connection to the other players failed (and the other players continue to play).

Er, it's only ever really happened in the Amiga versions (Worms and Worms - The Directors Cut). PC and console replays are 100% accurate.
