This is deffinitely no criticism to the game. I dont know about other people but my hopes and want for them game are decreasing; more games are coming out, but no real new solid infromation about worms is out. I check the forum to see if there are any new things about W:OW2, like a release date, or new videos, nothing, just the same questions coming up. I keep on hearing of new games and I dont know which to buy anymore. For example, Monster Hunter 2 is coming out for the psp, which seems great.

Most information has been revealed already. All the weapons and utilities are known, gameplay modes are known, there are gameplay videos and many screenshots. It's slated for a summer release. How much solid information do you need?

Haha, that reminds me of my very first post on those boards, so frustrated waiting for Worms 3d to come out.
Come on fellow wormer, in the end you know it's just you're just so excited about WoW2 ;) And so am I, because it's going to be just great: Team17 listen to theyr fans!
And Like the wormhead above me said: almost all info is already available, just not the exact day of release: knowing it won't cut the wait anyway.

exactly, this is no criticism to the game but to the strategy, most people realease information bit by bit, since team17 just unleashed everything at once, there is nothing to look forward to anymore but the game, and since so many new games are going to come out, I dont know how long I can wait.

Actually THQ (the publisher's) released a ton of stuff, not us :-)

The game is in submission (i.e. being tested by Sony and Nintendo) and until it gets approved for release, after being tested and such, we can't really say/release much more. The game has been finished in terms of features and pretty much bug-free for a while.

Once approved, the game goes into production and packaging, distribution etc, that takes a few weeks.

send a one level demo our way and we can stay quite until the release XD I totally agree!!!!! I just can't wait!!!!! Just ask a UK magazine if they'll let you put a demo in and I'll be extremly happy!!!! (NOTE: UMD demos might not have been made yet)

No, they haven't. PSP demos are distributed via the Internet. I doubt we'd get a DS demo, since you can't download one from the Internet.

It has online play. What more information do you need?

The Irony is that even though you can't get DS demo, you can easely get the full DS games from the internet, and for free...
To get back on topic: who needs a demo when the game is so close to be released (hopefully)?

actually you can give us a ds versions demo. the ds has the ds download play function. put it on the wifi and i can get it at any local ebgames location for a temp trial version that will last until the system is turned off.

Not sure if I should be saying this ;), but the DS game actually allows you to send over a stand-alone deathmatch demo of the game to another DS. No need to stay connected afterwards.

Sweet. Now that's good advertising. If I like it, I'll do my best to get others hooked, even though I'm in Japan, and I'll probably end up getting them to look for imports. :P

Yeah, good point. I wonder if that'll be used.

That's pretty nifty too - can the players have a multiplayer game using just the one cartridge as well?

doesn't anyone agree with what i said?

Not really, releasing most of the information at once is fine, although it would have been better if wasn't on a pure flash website. The game should be out within a few months. You can buy another game, if it takes a long time, you have time to save up to buy WOW2. I would buy the game no matter when the media information was released.

Same here, it looks chuffin ace really and I don't really understand what worms37 is on about. Call me a fanboy but this has been at the top of my list since I knew it was in the pipeline.

Like everyone else I'm just wanting to know when the beastie will be released. But I'm sure if that information was available, we'd have it by now.

In fairness to those squawking for more precise information though, I do sympathise. Games like FIFA & GTA & Halo 3 (for example) have release dates set in stone MONTHS before the game even begins to enter the "submission" stages. In fact, the Halo release date was published a good 2/3 months ago and that's not even out til October (ish!).

It is jolly frustrating to have to wait indefinitely, but wait we must and I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end.

I would rather wait another 6months than have a rushed game full of bugs.
