the differences between the original release and the sequel are not just night and day...they're in opposite days of the week.Opposite. Days. Of the week.

What.

*sees the minigames feature video* Oh, so i'm not the only that had that idea here (http://forum.team17.co.uk/showpost.php?p=571396&postcount=171)?

Or is because...

We are currently working on 6 titles (4 in full production, 2 in pre production). 3 of these are Worms based. 3 of these are handheld based. 2 of them are external IP (i.e. not our own ideas). 1 of them is a radical departure. 1 is a welcome home. There, chew that over...

The design for WOW2 was put together from talks starting mid-late 2005 (as WOW1 was being finished) to early 2006 :-) Work on WOW2 was finally begun on DS around Spring/summer 2006, with the PSP starting quite a bit earlier (since this was entirely in-house).

Suffice to say that these things are worked on way ahead of anyone finding out what's going on. We did well to keep it all under wraps :)

I showed my kid cousins the official trailer to this game yesterday. They seemed to rather enjoy it as they did laugh to some bits.

I've introduced them to the Worms genre as WOW2 will be their first yet sadly they're not familiar with the other Worm titles.

I'll probably buy copies of this game for them that way we can face each other, this shall be good fun. :)

Suffice to say that these things are worked on way ahead of anyone finding out what's going on. We did well to keep it all under wraps :)Thing is, Spadge, you spoiled us all with Worms 3D (in terms of community insider info from early in development), so we get surprised (and, sometimes, annoyed) when stuff like this is sprung on us late in development.

Not saying either approach is bad, but expect plenty of "hey, Luther, what did you do today?" stuff ;).

We did that with Worms3D specifically - and to be honest, I'd imagine it's not repeated purely because publishers like to keep things very close to their chests these days.

Am I the only one who pronounces it "Kjatte?
Except the e, mabye...

That means I say the J as though it was a J.

How the heck do you pronounce KJ?

And I always pronounced his name as Kayzatt. I don't know why I say z instead of j, but it's easier to pronounce.

Kejatt

Except the e is hardly there.

Hehe, it's only scandinavians who can pronounce "kj" as far as i know. it sounds a bit similar as "ch" but instead of using the tip of the tounge you use the back of the tounge. Hard to explain :p

"That's why we've incorporated everything that made the original game shine into Open Warfare 2, along with a barrage of new content"

I like the way he's avoided mentioning the predecessor, to simply referring to the WHOLE worms franchise.:p Things could have got really sticky otherwise...
