i have updated my PSP to firmware 2.80 and i want to buy worms:open warfare.
But i know that w:ow needs firmware 2.60 to play it.
Will it work and on higher firmware versions or i will need to downgrade it or do something else?
(sorry, but i put wrong firmware on the topic's title...)

Of course it will play on higher firmware versions. Having to downgrade it would be silly.

it would be beyond silly. it would be impossible. if i recall correctly, the highest firmware version from which you can downgrade is 2.60, using gta lcs exploit.

I'm sure it's possible, just nobody has figured it out yet. Maybe future games will offer more exploits..

I'd expect they will. You can get a lot of sales that way, as long as you make it look like an accident. See also: easily region-hacked DVD palyers.

except sony has been intentionally patching exploits to prevent such things from happening. i think they really don't want you downgrading the firmware. it seems reasonable, as many people use the exploits in older versions of firmware to run pirated code.
