I was trying out w4, as i do acasonaly. and i noticed something fishy. when i put on 2x damage and went for a close range shot (shotgun) they went about as far as they would if i used a cocrte donkey. now that is unrealistic even for worms.

Yeah in a game where you control talking worms who can grow wings use weapons and drop exploding poop on their enemies heads the double damage is the most unrealistic thing...

Unrealistic is good.:)
Why do you think I like Sonic *and* Worms so much? And Rayman?!?:D
Offtopic: the new Rayman looks cool, i mean who doesn't like crazy rabbit things on toilets.
And as far unrealistic, scince when does any worms game take realisim seriously, sheep can fly, bannanas explode and large concrete statues of donkeys materialise above the ground.... don't blame double damege

i mean for shutgun to be better than a donkey...... thats just wrong.

Ghost']i mean for shutgun to be better than a donkey...... thats just wrong.
But it's not. 2x Damage with Concrete Donkey makes the worms fly right off the map. The Shot gun just makes the slide back (quite a long distance, with 2x).
And don't talk about realistic stuff in Worms.

worms, well atlest the 2d is logical, for a worm to fly that far with a shotgun really is a waist of a perfectly good worms weapon.

Oh dear, another "realism in worms" thread
I think the most unrealistic things in Worms are:
Worms have large eyes
They can carry large weapons, like bazookas
They can actually CARRY those weapons, since worms don't usually have hands
The worm isn't vapourised when shot almost point-blank by a bazooka.
and finally, the scale factor between the worm and the concrete donkey means that the donkey must be a baby donkey - probably a newborn.

It would need to be even smaller.

I'm not sure that that's unrealistic. It could just be a very small donkey made of concrete. Approximately 18x12 inches, if we go by the description of Boggy B as '3 inches tall' (Ref. Wormsong), take into acount the equality in size of all worms and then compare their size to a concrete donkey.
They can carry large weapons, like bazookas
A bazooka, by this logic (Concrete Donkey logic, not the quote) , is about 3 inches. Human's can carry human sized things, worms can carry worm sized things.

The concrete donkey is a statue !!
It is made of concrete!!
Statues may have all sizes!
The real problem is with the team grenades (weapon factory)!
The chicken is to small!
Kittens are again to small!
The Canary is like a small bowling ball with wings and eyes!
That's not realistic

using logic x2 dmage shoudl be twice the effect e.g. damge, radius and push factor. normally the shotgun doesn't go very far, so why on x2 the worm goes flying soooo far?

This is pointless talking about what is realistic and what is not. If something was made of concrete it wouldn't bounce perfectly straight and keep going through the land.
Worms can't talk.
Worms don't have hands.
A worm is not the size of a sheep... etc.
It is just stupid to talk about realism in a game that is so unrealistic.
It is just stupid to talk about realism in a game that is so unrealistic.
too right, this is a game guys! and its not just any game, its a game in the mental, gr8 CARTOON worms fighting series! Has nyone ever seen a game without something unrealistic in it? Nop, i havent, whether its the ability for worms to pick up sheep and drop it infront of them so they can then go and start flying round, controlled by the worm and explode into other worms, or simply how on strategy games like AOE3 ships have no wake and go straight through each other...
UNrealism in a game like this makes it funnier!

did you by any chance put on multiple double damage modifiers?
they do stack you know, 3x double damage shotgun deals 200 life, see it's exponential.
and will everyone please shut up about things in worms not being realistic?
it's not, it never was and it never will be, that's what makes the worms series so much fun/ny!!!

If we're having a debate about physics, like "The shotgun throws worms too far!".etc, then maybe you would realise that;
a. A shotgun at close range would oblitterate a worm.
b. The worms's hands are not in any way, connected to their bodies.
c. Worms don't have hands.
d. Heck, worms don't even have FACES.
e. Worms aren't smart enought to make warfare.
f. Everything about the physics in worms is unrealistic.
WHICH IS WHY IT'S SO FUN.
Putting realistic physics in an unrealistic game would make it crappy. Turn up the gravity in sonic, and what do you get? A crappy game where you can hardly jump, and you die ALL OF THE TIME.
