I started drawing humans recently. even though I draw so many human-like animals like apes or humanoid robots and aliens, I seem to have problems doing the real thing.

What you're always supposed to do is draw realistic people first. Get at least decent with that.
I read up on Andrew Loomis to get that stuff down.
Then you have to work on applying your own style to it, and you end up with a stylish picture that still looks realistic.
Stylish = Maybe okay. Stylish+Realistic = Goodeez!

On deviantArt, you say you want advanced critique in our comments. We CAN'T. We can't draw anything near like what you can do - we can't help you. You're too high up for any more help. If you really feel you need to get better, you just have to practise. That's the only help you can get.

And i'm glad to know your opinion... if you feel like you can't give me any advices or help in any way, no problem, man, i won't get mad or anything. I just like to know if i made some sort of mistake and if i could indeed improve something. So if you feel like you can't help, just leave a nice and polite message saying "oh, good art, mate, keep it up", like i do... ;)

And, for the records, i don't think i'm better than slick... i've said to him a couple of times that i envy some skills he has, specially regarding expressions. There were many ocasions where he helped me to make my stuff better. So, as shocking as it might be, i'm not perfect... :p :D
