I'm about to purchase this but I need some help.

First of all, I have a Macbook Pro which also has a Windows 8 Partition. I would rather get the Macbook version but have heard that online doesn't work???

If online does work on Mac, what is the difference between Worms: Reloaded and Worms: Special Edition (and can people on Worms: Reloaded play online against people on Worms: Special Edition). Also, can Mac users play Windows users?

If online play is only available for Windows then I will just grab the PC version.

Mac MP works as far as I know, but the usual problem applies. Basically, there are so few Mac gamers around that the few there are end up using Windows emulation anyway. If you have a proper Windows partition instead of emulation, it's a no-brainer. Install in Windows. I think if you buy it you can install it in either Mac or Win partitions, I'm sure I read that somewhere? If so, try it in both and see.
