This post is a little bit pluggy, but given the Team17-ish link I'm hoping it's just relevant enough to slide under the radar.
Some of you may be vaguely aware that I've spent the last year trying to get a webseries called [PortsCenter (http://portscenter.tv/)] off the ground. After a false start in 2011, we successfully Kickstarted our first season in September '12 and are know neck-deep in production.
The first episode, looking at the Game Boy Color port of Sensible Software's Cannon Fodder, drops Monday, January 28th.
The Amiga is more or less the backbone of our first season, and with that in mind we have two episodes planned which will look at titles by Team17. The first is a Platformer Grab Bag which will look at various ports of a number of platform games including Flashback, Another World and, of course, Team17's own Superfrog. That'll be our ninth episode, and is due to go live on March 25th.
Episode ten will focus entirely on ports of the Worms games, starting with the various console iterations of the original Worms and stretching forward all the way to Worms 2: Armageddon, Worms Revolution and beyond. We'll even cover Worms Pinball and Worms Blast if there's time. That one is, appropriately enough, due to drop on April 1st.
If you're interested, [here's the complete episode line-up for season one (http://portscenter.tv/episode-guide/)]. You can also [watch our 2011 pilot (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bX4iK2sbpPI)] which looks at the PSone port of id Software's Doom (note: that link takes you to the clean-language version which is safe for work and young ears, but there is a curse-laden version on the PortsCenter YouTube channel).
I've poured a lot of my heart and soul into making this show and turning something I've been fascinated about since I was a kid - video game ports - into something funny, entertaining and (hopefully!) informative. I hope come Monday you guys enjoy it too.
