Please would you allow me to edit my profile? When I try to edit the avatar or profile I am told:

"you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation."

This is because you are a newly registered member. We had to implement a few anti-spam measures a while back, and as a result all new members don't have access to their profile and all their posts require approval by a moderator before they appear in the forum.

Once you've been registered for a short amount of time (can't remember the exact time period) and have made a small number of approved posts your profile will automatically unlock. If that hasn't happened already it should happen very soon.

Given that post went through without requiring approval, you should now (or very soon) be able to edit your profile.
