Whether it is the occasional suicide, or a jump in the wrong direction, or a misjudged banana bomb...I think we should gain the coins and bonuses when damage is inflicted on an opponent during their own shot.
I've seen three or four seemingly suicide to prevent me getting the kill bonus...although this remains a rare occurence.

Reaction to other threads: Thankfully the scourge of the White Flag merchants has died down dramatically. Was thinking ''naming and shaming'' would be handy...but of course that would be unfair during frozen games!

Finally a question...if my game freezes totally, such that I have to shut worms down...how does my opponent see the end game???...as a surrender, or just me not shooting, or does my AI take over?

This is will not happen. As Team17 explained in a previous thread, some players might create a second account, and use it in battle in favor of the original account.

Brunu is spot on here, we won't be adding this so people can't farm XP or coins in the game and gaining an unfair advantage.

As for the leaving the game, at the minute we have it so that the other player sees it as a surrender. The ideal scenario would be that it switches to AI and we have discussed this in the past, but we're not putting it in for the near future. It's a lot of work for little outcome and we've put in the counter measures so people get a percentage of their reinforcements back to combat this.
