I just had a couple different opponents quit on me, just as I let loose an expensive weapon(The Thanksgiving Weapons)...
They didn't even wait for the weapon to do its damage before they Quit...
but the worst thing is that I lose the weapon without any sort of compensation... it's like a gamble every time...

My Suggested Remedy: Any weapon used within the Last 30 seconds of match-play will not be deducted from the users inventory, unless the match has come to an end... Please and Thank You....

P.S. My apologies if I sound like a douche, but quitters just **** me off a little.. I Never quit.. If it appears I quit, it is only because the game froze...

Quitters are in all online games, we hate it too but sadly it's just a part of the game we have no control over.

We have however already put in several measures to try and encourage people not to quit out during a game.

The problem with refunding weapons is it can easily be abused and farmed. A player could go into a battle with a second account they created and do nothing until the last 30 seconds. Then they can use weapons that give exp and coin bonuses and in the last second make their second account quit. That way no weapons will be lost and the primary account gets a nice bonus.

I don't get very angry when a player quits, and you shouldn't either because you'll get all the rewards and bonuses of the match as if you were the winner. Despite your loss of weapon, have in mind that if it wasn't the use of them, your opponen't wouldn't have quit.

Also, it doesn't mean that he actually quitted, maybe he has just lost connection, or Flash plugin crashed and else. It can be many other reasons besides cowardice.

And... this thread has nothing to do with bug or technical issues. It should have been posted in the Game Related Chat. :cool:

Don't forget you will still be rewarded all the XP & Coin bonuses for all the weapons used. You may lose the weapons, but the rewards are for keeps!

Just to let you guys know, the designers & coders are looking into this.

Same here, I just laugh whenever someone quits, cos I get all the benefits. However when I first started I used to quit on time wasters. That was the thing that made me most angry, people who took up the last 30 secs aiming at you and doing nothing jus to get in the last shot.

But now I realise- 'Hey theres 170 (250 if they know they've lost and don't want you to kill anymore lol) coins plus bonuses here... go on then shoot me'.
Hence, why my worms are named 'shoot me'

My major gripe though is that I had just used a 1600 coin item just before they quit.. so the 250 coins doesn't really make up for it...

We're looking into putting some code into the game so that if someone does quit whilst you're using a weapon, you will not lose the weapon and the game will refund it to you. This should be in soon.

I think that change made it into build 185 actually Bob. Could you guys check this next time someone quits on you before the weapon explodes, and post back here with the results please?

Great work guys! I can verify that the code is in... I had an opponent quit on me just after I threw a banana bomb and then, after the match, the banana was restocked into my cache of weapons.. Awesome!

It doesn't seem to work here, thrown 2 HHG 1 sno-ming misle oponent surenderd and i didn't get anything back :(

You won't get anything back if you have used the weapon as you will have got the Exp and Coin bonus from it. You only get your weapon back if the opponent surrenders during the blast phase of a weapon.
That way you can't farm it.

It's also good to see people are quitting less matches than before (I guess they realized it's better to lose than to surrender).

I have that task to kill 5 worms with reindeer, and when game started, moment was perfect to kill 2 with 1, anyway, here's what happened:

So I lost 1600 worth weapon and gained those few xp and coins for the first reindeer hit, regardless there were still 3 or something to come since weapon wasn't used fully..
Would like much more if I gained my weapon back instead of those few bonuses :\

Also, would be very nice if you could add some kinda ignore list, so we can chose who not to play against...

EDIT: Seem ppl really don't like reindeers O.o I just had another guy surrendered after I killed 2 of his worms with it :\ Good thing, this time it came after the kills and gained bonuses..
