To make things more frustrating, I tried to name one of the 4 worms you can make in the game (which I still find retarded) "Ruby", but the game said it was in use! Where?

Anyway, can anyone help? The menus in this game are awful in general, and the menu transitions just make it painfully slow to quickly navigate.

No, you can pick from any worms you want. The teams don't have to be the same. Also, you can create multiple profiles to add different teams to the game. Best copy your own profile and rename it to keep your class unlocks.

Create more player teams:

Main Menu
-> Customisation
-> Player Profiles
-> Create New Profile (Or click on your own, then select Copy Profile and rename it)

Name Worms (First select the profile you want to change the names for):

Main Menu
-> Customisation
-> My Worms

You should have more than 4 Worms unless you haven't unlocked them yet.

It uses the same UI as the console version, no? If so, then he's right. It's a horribly inefficient UI for a platform that uses mouse and keyboard as it's main input. And this is not arguable. You may be ok with using something terrible, but that does not make it not terrible.

It's built in the same way as the one from Terraria/Minecraft/Team Fortress 2/Altitude/a lot lot lot lot of other games that I know and I've never felt drop down lists were anything near terrible. Buuuuut you will continue disagreeing with me anyways so I'll just leave it that way.
