Hi all,

Here is a quick check list to run through if you are having issues running Worms Revolution on your PC:

Check you meet the minimum specifications
These are
OS: Windows XP
Processor: Dual Core CPU
Memory: 2 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT (256 MB), Intel HD3000 or Radeon HD 3650 (512 MB)
Other Requirements: Broadband Internet connection

Verify integrity of game cache
If you are having problems getting the game to launch or you are experiencing random crashes, it might be that the game did not install correctly. Please use Steam’s validation check at least twice because sometimes it can report no problems on its first pass.

1. Load Steam
2. From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
3. Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button.
4. Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.
5. Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit.

Update your graphics driver
Visit your graphic card manufacturers' website and download and install the latest driver. If you have a laptop, you may have to visit the laptop manufacturer’s website in order to obtain the latest driver. Please note that these can often be a few revisions behind the reference driver. If may be worth contacting your laptop manufacturer to see if they plan to update the driver soon.

Integrated graphics
We've had a lot of issues where the game is running through integrated Intel graphics as opposed to high-performance Nvida/ATI cards.

If you want to run the game through your dedicated graphics card, you will need to refer to your computers manufacturers documents or instructions if you are unsure on how to do this, or contact the manufacturer directly if you do not have these documents. Please be aware that this process can be different with each machine. Below are some sites that you may find useful:

Acer machines with Nvidia: http://acer--uk.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9073/kw/5830TG
Acer machines with ATI: http://acer--uk.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/19271/kw/amd
HP machines with ATI: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03048374&cc=uk&dlc=en&lc=en
Dell machines with Nvidia: http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/kcs/document?c=us&docid=125975&doclang=en&l=en&s=gen&cs=

V-Synch
For performance or mouse-lag issues, try disabling the v-synch option in your graphics driver.

Other issues?
Please note:
Some ATI graphics cards may experience banding in the shadows – updated drivers fix this for some cards, discussions are on-going with ATI to resolve remaining issues.
Anti-aliasing is provided through NVidia’s FXAA shader solution. This is a complex shader and will not compile on all graphics cards. If the shader will not compile, the option is greyed out.
There is no FPS cap, some drivers do not properly support the option to disable v-synch. If your card can render at 59.999 FPS but v-sych is turned on, then it will lock at 30 FPS. The only way around this is to force v-synch to off in your driver.

Contact our support team
If you are still experiencing issues then can you please send your DxDiag to support@team17.com along with a description of your exact problem and we'll have a look into this.

NOTE: Please remember to tell the support team that you are having issues with Worms Revolution and explain what those issues are, they are receiving a lot of blank emails with only DxDiags attached. They need to know what is wrong to be able to help.

To get your DirectX info:
1. Hold down the Windows Key and press R
2. The Run dialog should appear. Type dxdiag in the available text field.
3. Click OK
4. Click Save All Information
5. Set the Save as type to Text File (*.txt)
6. Save the file DxDiag.txt to your Desktop so it is easy to find.
7. Attach the DXdiag.txt file in an email to support@team17.com

Thank you.

Could you patch an option to turn shadows off? I've tried all of these things and it's just not working, but thanks for the help.

Hi PooZy, thanks for the feedback. I have passed it on already earlier today. Have you emailed us your DxDiag?

The game crashed just after startup but I have found why : for an unknow reason, DirectVobSub launched after game startup, causing crash.

If this could help people using DirectVobSub...

Sorry if I'm just being stupid, but apparently, updating my driver through steam was meant to work and it didn't.

My card is an ATI Radeon thingie, with 'premium graphics' (my butt) according to the sticker on my laptop. Now, I don't know how else to check, but steam is meant to work, and it's not. Help?

When i start up my game an error message comes up saying OpenGlShader support missing. Then on the start menu it crashes.
I believe my Nvidia Gt 520m can run this game.
The person above said something about a DirectVobSub, i have no idea what that means, but could it effect me?

Steam's driver update seems to be obsolete, try this automatic installer: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/auto_detect.aspx

It will detect your graphics card, check if it's outdated and, of course, it will download the full installer of the drivers.

In my case, the game doesn't run any better. :(

hello.
i have a dell N5050 using integrated graphics intel HD 3000 and i'm using win7 64 bits HB. I had the following error message "Open gl shader support missing", and the game always crashed to desktop just after the TEAM 17 logo. i updated my drivers from the dell website but had still no luck. After much digging on the net, i saw somewhere that drivers from intel website could support more features than the dell one(i guess for e.g open gl ). So i downloaded the latest drivers from intel website(which differed in version also). I still get the error msg a the beginning of every game but i can play afterwards without any errors, crashes or lags.
i hope this helps

I recently Purchased worms revolution on the steam store. The game starts up and acts fine up until I press enter to start. Once I do that the game starts to go to a loading screen on menu or whatever it is supposed to do at that point, but then it just crashes, no error message no warning just crashes and closes the application. Please help

*Edit*

I'm using a desktop computer and there are no newer drivers for my graphics card, I'm running to two NVIDIA 9800 GT (Yes I know and upgrade is due)

I tried everything, but nothing works on my Macbook Pro, even though I run Windows 7 and meet all requirements. Please help me out, I get to the first loading screen in Revolution, and it always crashes, no idea why...

So I'm not the only one my specs are
intel i3 dual core
Intel HD Graphics 3000
8gb of RAM
My computer is good enough and I was told Intel HD Graphics 3000's can run worms. Help is very much appreciated, and I updated everything and supported Team17 and have had no reply yet.

I just bought Worms: Revolution a few days ago. I have a Toshiba Satellite with the same graphics card as you, and until the game gets to the second loading screen, it simply crashes and the program exits itself.

I've done everything said in the first post (updated my graphics card, verified the game data, etc.), but it still doesn't work...

I wrote an eMail to Team 17 support and hope they can fix it... somehow, I am very angry that neither Toshiba nor Team 17 can provide some solution that actually helps.

I want to play the game, but otherwise I want my money back, if it doesn't run.
