View Full Version : No Preorder DLC ingame?

Hello there,
nice game so far, i like it!

On topic: i do have valvetestapp200186 and *187 listet as DLC
and a DLC_PreOrder.zip in DLC-folder but it is not available ingame.
No horns/halo, wildlife-soundbank, fort or gravestones under customization.
I already reinstalled and checkt integrity of game cache several times without luck. Extracting the zip manualy results in steam reinstalling something.
how do i activate it?

Hi,

Sorry to hear you are having troubles with this. Can you please let me know where you purchased your copy from? Was this from Steam or an external retailer such as Green Man Gaming?

We've had a few with the same issue and we're currently looking into this.

Could you please add me up to the list of those having problems as well? I bought my copy from greenmangaming btw. I was initially able to contact your company through your twitter account but after explaining my problem, I have yet to receive a response..I apologize for trying to contact you through multiple channels, as I was initially trying to find a solution before the pre-order window was up. But I'm not in a hurry or anything though. But I do hope that you would be looking into this matter soon for the sake of all those affected. :)

Same problem here. Got it from Green Man Gaming. The game was playable before it was officially unlocked. DLC didn't appear after it was officially playable either. I heard of cases where the game downloads a patch that enables DLC, but not my case. Any solutions yet?

We will be supplying these retaillers with codes for the exclusive content within the next 48 hours (we'll do this as soon as we can but please bear in mind the difference in time zones and working hours), if you then contact where you purchased the game from - you'll get this content.

I'll let you know when these codes have been dispatched.

well thanks for sending out the keys but after getting in touch and sending them a support ticket at greenmangaming the only response I got was you can see here

also seems no one else who preordered there has been able to get a key yet for this missing dlc so far with last official word from them as can be seen here

In fact they still owe me a Civ 5 key from another preorder bonus. I think I will stick to steam next time.

Thank you for the further information on this, I'll check that thread again tomorrow morning when I'm back in the office to see if you guys have had them yet or any response from GMG, if not then I'll chase this up straight away.

We've spoken to them today, they do have the codes however they are struggling to differentiate between who was a pre-purchase customer and who has purchased since then.

They are working on the issue and have apologised for the delay.

We are just about to send them more codes out to eliminate the issue above and enable them to send these out to all customers and remedy the missing DLC.

My english is too bad and i do not know what exatly i shoul ask steam support regarding the missing DLC...

Downloadable content will not be listed as a separate entry in your Steam games list.

When purchased, this content will be automatically downloaded and incorporated into the game.

To view the additional content for this game that is registered to your account, please do the following:

1) Log in to Steam
2) Navigate to your Library list
3) Right-click on the game
4) Select "View downloadable content".

Alternatively, you can also find the DLC (downloadable content) for a game by right-clicking on the game, selecting 'Properties' and navigating to the DLC tab.

Let us know if you have any further difficulty.

i do not know what i should write them to get the DLC code.

I just send another support ticket to steam since i got no response from here...
I do not know if my replys are understandable and steams first reply sounds like they did not even read what i wrote but just copied some FAQ-text instead...

I do NOT have my paid preorder-dlc INGAME.
My Downloadable Content (DLC) i've purchased is NOT accessible from within the base game.

The developer "Team17" told me i need to contact steam and ask for a UNLOCK-KEY wich should be provided by steam!
The screenshot showing my dlc-list and the preorder bonus "Worms Armageddon" as a proof of preorder purchase.
But the preorder-items i should have inside the game "Worms Revolution" are NOT there!
The content should contain: Two Hats, a Gravestone, a Fort, a Soundbank and Five Missions.

PayPal Information

The Billing Name on the PayPal Account: X
The full Billing Address on the PayPal Account: X
The PayPal PayerID: X
The Invoice ID: X
Transaction ID: X

If any other proof of puchase is needed to get my preorder-dlc unlocked please let me know!

The former valvetestapp200186 and *200187 are now renamed to
"Worms Revolution - Level Editor" and
"Worms Revolution - Preorder DLC" but
still no preorder content ingame...
The Level Editor worked since the beginning.
I uninstalled the game, closed steam and deleted the folder
X:\Steam\steamapps\common\WormsRevolution
then i restarted windows, installed Worms Revolution, closed steam, restarted windows, started steam,Validated 3 times and started worms:
first there was a admin-window winslave04 install-script which i accepted. then a steam window appeared saying something about step 1/2 and after some installing-noises step 2/2.
Finally the game started but still no preorder content...
Validated again 3 times but no change...

Steam support closed my ticket after their reply.
they did not send me any unlock key.

I feel a bit left alone since i get no response from Team17 but i am still interested in buying more DLC after i get my preorder DLC working.
Is there a refund possibility for "season pass DLC" if it does not work?

Edit:

Maybe i should note i did not install steam to the default location.
(i read somwhere that some games do have problems in this situation)

The patch does work!
i finally got my preorder-content ingame - thank you!

Sadly i already wasted my money a few minutes before this patch was released on another game so i can not afford the season-pass at the moment but someday it will be mine.
