I'm just curious what the community thinks, which is better, Worms 2 or Worms World Party? I've heard that W2 has a lot more customization options than WWP, but WWP has alot of new weapons and cool online features... so, what do you guys think?
Well, it depends what you're talking about, really. W2's customisation, whilst fun offline, is a bit of a curse online due to the ability to change, say, the handgun to fire 20 100-damage bullets ;)
WWP, on the other hand, is basically WA with new content (missions) and a few extra features, not all of which are good. So, it has the WormPot (which is quite polarising - some hate it due to its ability to unbalance games, but some like it because there are a few options that can make quite fun schemes). It has multiplayer missions. It has official support for custom missions. It doesn't have any extra online features over WA, though, as far as I remember, and of course it hasn't been getting the updates. WA itself has many more featues than Worms 2, with some of the more naturally unbalanced weapons taken out/made into superweapons and plenty of new ones added, including ones involving poison and petrol bomb fire that persists, in additiion to utilities like the jetpack, so naturally all of these exist in WWP.
In conclusion - both are fun games, but WWP is probably better due to the increased features.
I'd say Worms 2 because of its rope physics as well as the increased customization. It is much easier to come up with a new game type/mode in Worms 2 then it is in either W:A or WWP simply because of the amount of customization possible.
There are tools to make Worms 2 even more customizable then what it originally is though there's not much benefit from it other then messing around with ridiculous stuff.
WWP for all the missions and things. I enjoyed creating and playing custom missions.

Worms 2 is a great game, I've had a lot of fun playing it, but no Worms game beats Worms World Party. Although it hasn't been getting any updates since what, 2003 (?) it's still better than any Worms game. Worms Armageddon is okay because it has a lot of players online and it supports high resolutions (I'm on 1920x1080 so WWP looks really poor) and even Windows 8, but WWP missions are better (and they're available in multiplayer) and I like it's menus better. :P
Anyways, I like WWP more than W2 just because I played it more and I didn't really like Worms 2 online. Wormpot was a great addition too.
