I've noticed recently that not only are the few most recent Worms titles (and also some other Team 17 things) popping up on Steam, but so are some older ones such as Worms Blast and the original Worms.

Is Team 17 planning on putting more classic games on Steam?

Do you think that the route of inexpensive digital distribution is a good one for Team 17 to take? I do. I would gladly pay out a few extra dollars to get my Worms collection onto steam.

How about Good Old Games? I'd like to see Team 17's classic titles there too at some point. Both Steam and GoG are services I enjoy supporting.

But if they put their older games on there, then the Steam crowd will be alerted to their quality and will thus be hesitant to buy "new" titles like Worms Reloaded. :p

I like old Worms games, but I would rather playing Worms Reloaded than the original one.

Lmfao I still like to believe Team17 are actively trying to improve Worms Reloaded, considering they just updated the game (As in yesterday) with a brand new remastered version of the most desired Main Title theme. Seriously, why would you go to the extreme of recording a brand new music track for a game you're not really supporting (Sarcasm)? Also the frequent free DLC content is awesome as well :)

They also re-implemented the Old Woman and Long Bow in the current version of the game :) and have begun experimenting with the Ninja Rope.

Back on topic, I think digital distribution is the way to go, I think Team17 themselves said so since they wanna be their own publishers for once and this is the only feasible way to do it.

Not very well no, but as far as I can tell, that's not actually an issue because the games up there were very easy to port to steam and no effort was made to add any features to them. So actually for what it cost to get them on Steam we did make a bit of money on them.

However when it comes to other older games, it will not be as easy to make work with Steam especially if we want to retain online multiplayer. Im looking at you W2, WA, WWP. So at the end of the day the question is, is it worth it? We don't know is the honest answer.

I think picking one of the three and doing it properly (not too much, not too little Steam integration) should significantly increase the effort to payout ratio. With the added bonus of not splitting the newly formed community too thinly, thus more or less infinitely extending the game's lifetime.
