Hi, I seem to have a problem with the hosting buddy service its lags whenever I use it to host or join somebody else's game when they are using hosting buddy or it just disconnects me. when hosting normally this isn't a problem its smooth. it was all working fine until last night. I installed some directx updates and it seems to have not worked since then.

I've tried reinstalling worms, changing the priority level for the program, reinstalling directx 6 and also compatibility mode none of this has worked and I'm sure its not my ISP as everything else internet related works fine.

I doubt it's related to Direct X or anything on your computer. Probably a broken route at your ISP.

Depending on the distribution, DirectX is included on the games installation disc. Most likely DirectX 6. To the OP you should go to the Microsoft DirectX website and download the Web Updater to ensure your DirectX is fully up to date (To avoid problems with other games and to ensure overall system stability etc.)

It looks like for some reason packets start to get dropped at some point. It could be caused by something on your network or ISP. Sorry, I don't think I can be of much help here.

thx for your help, my problem seems to have mysteriously disappeared anyway lol..... guess my isp got its self together.
