Well, it has better graphics.
And if your computer doesn't meet the requirements, I think you gotta consider upgrading it...

Worms Ultimate Mayhem needs 3x CPU, 8x RAM and 8x GPU as minimum requirements compared to Worms 4: Mayhem.
Err...

Well a lot changes in 6 years.
But the thing is, the only changes from Worms 4: Mayhem is some shaders and dynamic lighting. Since the resolution standards are higher today, I understand that the GPU requirements are higher, but how Worms Ultimate Mayhem requires 3 times the CPU power and 8 times the amount of RAM is beyond comprehension.
I hope it will be able to use all my 6 cores and 4GB RAM.

Graphics are also better, it's not just shaders and lighting.

Do you know how much CPU StarCraft II needs? 2.6GHz.
Basically they just made the models more detailed so that requires more RAM. I don't know how they made it require more CPU than SC2, considering SC2 is RTS and worms is turn based.

Shaders and lighting are graphics.

I think graphics are the most relevant factor for CPU usage, and Starcraft II with minimum settings looks ages worse than Ultimate Mayhem.
Apart from resolutions and anti-aliasing there aren't any adjustable video settings in Ultimate Mayhem yet :-/

They're recommended requirements, not absolute-must-have-or-else requirements. It's impossible to pinpoint the exact required specs, so they're more of a "if you have this it will absolutely run without issue" than "if you don't have this it will absolutely not run".
Case in point, I have an old 2Ghz processor and they both still work without issue.
