Any plans for Team17 to release any games for the Nintendo 3DS in the future? I'm strongly considering buying one, and I think a Worms game or two for the 3DS would be pretty kickass.

How about a Worms Armageddon 3DS and maybe even Worms Crazy Golf 3DS? I'd definitely buy the former (as long as it was good ;-) and maybe even the latter too.

Sorry, at this time we don't have any plans to do any 3DS games.

What about games for the Playstation Vita? A Worms 2: Armageddon and/or Worms Ultimate Mayhem port would feel right at home on that portable.

Would rather be a Worms Battle Islands port then, which already released for PSP. I don't really care as I'm definitely not going to buy neither a 3DS nor a PSP Vita. They are barely any different from their original versions, I have the feeling Nintendo and Sony are just trying to charge people for features like cameras (I do have a camera already, don't need it to be integrated to my DS kthx) or slightly different graphics (are those even different??) or stuff.

@BillT17: Thanks for the response. That stinks but I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope that changes in the future.

@Thurbo: Actually, and not to knock the DS at all, the 3DS is pretty different from the DS/DSi, and in most regards far superior technologically (though I'll admit I don't own one yet but most probably will buy one soon). While when closed the 3DS looks similar to either the DSi or DS Lite (I forget which) internally it's quite different, and the built-in camera isn't really designed to be a major selling feature either I don't think.

This isn't a complete list, but compared to the DS/DSi the 3DS has a much, much more powerful CPU/GPU; 8x the RAM; much higher capacity game carts; a circle pad in addition to a D-pad; a higher res, larger (3D capable, though it can be disabled) main screen; has a Virtual Console and a web browser, and it's also backwards compatible with DS games. To top it all off the graphics and capabilities are way, way better (http://www.winmatrix.com/forums/index.php?/topic/29147-nintendo-ds-vs-3ds-graphics-comparison/) (those screenshots are from almost a year before the 3DS was released BTW). In fact there's been at least one major game developer that said that in many regards, it's more powerful than the Wii (texture and shading capability, etc).

The only major con I see in the 3DS is the battery life, but fortunately the battery is removable and there are aftermarket batteries available for cheap that can double the life of the included one. The other con is that currently there aren't that many really awesome titles for it that have been released yet, but that'll soon change.

Also, you have to remember that the 3DS is next-gen (well, now it's current gen), so Nintendo and all of the game companies have been and are going to be focusing on it now, rather than the DS/DSi. New games, new IP, etc. There are a bunch of games I'm personally looking forward to once they come out, including Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, Super Smash Bros., RollerCoaster Tycoon, and Sonic Generations. Also on Sept. 13th Nintendo is expected to announce some more major new games that'll be released soon.

Sorry for the long post but I felt I had to. :)

Uhhh... no. There's actually quite a difference between the 3DS and the DS. Doubly so for the PSVita and PSP. They are far from being the same thing with a few extra features.

What, then? The only innovation for the games on the 3DS is... using a camera in-game. Totally useless. And the 3D effect, of course. Another superfluent feature, especially for the 2D Worms series :p

Other features... Internet... meh, I've got an iPod... Camera... Guess what, I do have a camera! And an iPod. With a superfluent camera integrated. You can whatch videos as well, again I already got an iPod. You can count your steps when walking... yeah, totally what I always wanted my DS to be capable of! Aaaaaaand... was that it, already? I think so.

Okay. There's a store for the 3DS to play downloadable titles. Good thing there didn't release any that really interested me yet. I hate Wii Points, XBla Points, Steam Wallet and all of that crap that forces me to pay 15€ for a 5€ game.

It's considerably more powerful than the DS and has a higher resolution screen, which leads to better, more complex games.

It's a flawed device on many levels, but it's far from being a cheap attempt at getting easy money.

If you care about that kind of stuff you should probably wait for the Vita, if it can fit in your pocket. :P

I am getting a Vita. And I already have a 3DS. As awesome as the Vita is, I can't live without my Nintendo games. OoT3D already made the 3DS worth it for me.

edit: and screw portability, I'm only buying them for the games, I don't particularly care about carrying them around with me. :p

I love PSVita, too bad I don't have the money to buy it. :(

Uhhh... looks like the Worms 3D cover. Only badly resized and with the 3DS sign on the right side :p
