My info is that they will be 320 points. Microsoft are releasing one a week from the 24th Aug. The first one is the Puzzle Pack.

The Steam and PSN version come with 12 new achievements/trophies per DLC pack so we might get lots of new achievements as well. But I'm a little worried since Microsofts achievement policy is quite strict. Furthermore the GS limit for arcade games is 350 Gamerscore (like Magic The Gathering (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/magic-the-gathering-duels-of-the-planeswalkers/achievements/); Trials HD, Toy Soldiers, Raskulls have 300 GS). So there's only 100 GS left for these 4 DLC packs. That would be 1-3 GS per achievement. However Team17 could add some 0 Gamerscore achievements as well.
And there are also some Arcade Games that have much more Gamerscore: Hasbro Family Game Night (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/family-game-night/achievements/) has 1850 GS, Game Room (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/game-room/achievements/) has 1000 GS, Pinball FX 2 (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/pinball-fx-2/achievements/) has 1000 GS.

So let's hope for the best ;)

I think the product description was for Steam and the Steam achievements. Xbox Live Achievements haven't been confirmed yet.

Microsoft actually limit the number of achievements you can add. So afaik there are only 5 new achievements each in the first 2 packs.

For clarification sakes. All the PC DLC packs have 12 extra achievements each. The 360 ones only have 5 each on the first 2 packs, this is apparantly because Microsoft impose a limit on new achievements added to XBLA games through DLC in any given quarter, strange yes I know but that's how it is.

The packs are coming out over the course of a few weeks, so if we did bundle all 4 packs at some point it won't be when they first come out. Also because the content is out on PC and coming out on PSN we have to be careful with timing on deals for the 4 packs. I expect that if we do a bundle deal it will be around Christmas time.

Also I am really intrested to know what the big deal is with gamerscore, I have a PS3 myself so I don't know why gamerpoints are so important to some people, it doesn't actually get you anything does it? Don't jump down my throat, genuinely want to know. :)

I guess the problem is that most people here would rather want more achievements in exchange of this nonsensical gamerscore :(

well for me its not really about the number of points...
its more about the number of achievements I have completed.

the Gamerscore is just like confirmation of all the achievements Ive gotten over all the games I have.

Well Gamerscore and Achievements are quite important for many Xbox Live Gamers (including me) since achievement hunting is/can be rewarding and fun. I'm always trying to unlock every achievement in every game, so I'm a completionist. Some people buy games simply for the (easy) Gamerscore and many people buy DLCs only if they come with achievements.

To put it simply.

1: People like achievements. A Gamerscore shows a person's progress in how many achievements they're getting. It's superficial, but most people do like seeing the number rise as they play more. The PS3 doesn't have it, but only because it has achievement categories instead, that count total achievements.

2: A Gamerscore is also a very nice way of being able to compare individual game progress between people.


You probably won't notice until you go from XBLA to Steam, where achievements seem really useless in comparison


And, of course, then you have the people that take it way too literally and try to have a high a gamerscore as possible by buying cheap games. Those people are in a clear minority though.

I love to "compare games" with my friends and look at achievements for games we both have and helping them get the ones I have and they dont. giving their gamerscore a little boost.
and vice versa.

Its fun when you have a friend who's gamerscore is almost the same as yours, and then take the lead :P

If the Gamerscore is to show who's the biggest nerd, buying loads of cheap games in order to rank themselves up and spending weeks or months of their lifetime completing simple achievements, it's doing a very good job indeed. :)

The Retro Pack Achievements seem to be exclusive to the Xbox 360 and PSN version. Steam has different achievements for the Retro Pack. Furthermore it seems that the Retro Pack achievement tiles of the Xbox 360 version are the same as the Puzzle Pack achievement tiles on Steam. 2 of them are the same as the Puzzle Pack achievements on Xbox 360.

I had no idea this game was getting any new DLC, then 4 come along at once... this is brilliant news. Me and my friends still play this game locally on a saturday night before we go out, can't wait to try out the new stuff.

They have the cross regions fix pencilled in to be solved on the 15th of Aug-OF COURSE THEY DON'T KNOW WHEN IT'S GOING TO GET FIXED!

We can't fix it before the DLC now as any update to a game has to go through a submission procedure with Microsoft that needs booking in and seeing as how we haven't fixed the issue yet, we won't be able to hit that date which is obviously a huge dissapointment to us all. :(

I'm not a coder so I have no idea. The coders are looking at 2 things. 1st could it be that somewhere a flag has been set to region lock these games apart from in ranked either in the game or at MS and 2nd could we up the timeout limit that caused 3 and 4 player games to stop working in the first place seeing as how uping the timeout made them work again in same region games.

Give them a kick up the **** then.

But really, Fellsilent, you should probably cut back on the complaining a little. I know that complaining IS important in a situation like this, to let the Teamsters know that you still really want it fixed, but when you complain every second day it's useless AND severely annoying. Can't you limit it to, say, once a week or something?

To be honest you have every right to complain but these things take time to sort out, we can't just push a fix right out there instantly as everything has to go through Microsoft approval. Every time you do an update it's like resubmitting the entire game again. We still don't know for sure what's going on with the current issue but like I've said before, I will keep everyone up to speed.

Well, I hope everything goes fine with the game BillT17. I'm really enjoying being able to play atlease the same region in player matches it's omost like should just leave it alone and broken game is a broken game but I don't wanna try to over fix things then same region games won't ever be possible again understand.

Why are there no animated backgrounds (these blue questionmarks) in the Xbox Live Arcade version of the DLC? Apart from that I have to say I really enjoyed this expansion pack.

I should have taken my time with this, didn't realise i was getting through it so quick.

I started this morning and finished this morning. I will take my time with the next one. I think the price for the one with only 15 missions should be slightly lower.

Edit: Oh and the 3 Voice Banks and Hats are terrible. I hope they get better.

You can buy full XBLA games for 400c on Game Marketplace.

But, I may stilll be tempted to buy a couple of these packs once I see the other what the other 3 packs are like.

I'll probably only buy the best 2.

my friend is holding off on getting some points till he gets paid this week and hasnt got them yet..played with him last few days (ive only met one guy in ranked so far where the new background came up, the release seems to be hidden too in the add on section, if you didnt come on here dont think youd know about them, or does it alert you on the worms main menu?)

Also thought i'd be getting the Retro Pack today.

I like the new forts.
The 3 new voices are once again utter ****. They really have run out of ideas for these. Bring back the FUNNY voice banks!
New campaign levels are good as always.
Not over impressed by the hats as they are all the same.
Graves are good.


I will be buying the Retro pack just to re-complete the achievements but if the one other pack doesn't have any good voice banks or hats i wont be bothering with it.

Something that would be really nice is to be able to have a 4 player game over Xbox live with match-making for other players.

Also, the option to add bots in an Xbox live game.

I can appreciate why this isn't the case for ranked games but, a social mode would be great where, this were possible.

yeah gotta agree the voices are pants, the last pack ones were 'ok' and the hats for both are also bad.......humour is good tho in this pack loved protecting the prime minister from the rioting nhs nurses! and did anyone spot the scouse scallies haha that was a pretty low dig from the other end of the m62

yeah the forts now has a 1st and 2nd choice then super forts in customize menu..im guessing you get your second choice if the opponent dont have the pack.....not really good for advertising the pack and kinda puts you off using the new voices and hats if you know most people end up seeing your worms as the default 1z........i think they dropped bit of a clanger here, guess its usual with dlc but how come you can use battle pack stuff even if you dont have it then, i thought that was cool even tho i have it

Most of the new forts don't have as much strategical depths as the default ones... The only one I found personally useful was the jungle tree.

I bought the Time pack today and what a waste of money yet again. Completed the campaign in around 20 minutes.

With this and the forts pack there was no variety what so ever. You litterally have to do the exact same thing in every level.

I did enjoy the Puzzle pack so if i were to recommend one of the three so far it would be that one.

When i played this morning there were only 4 people on the leaderboards :eek: including me. Then when i got further than the tenth level I was the only person on the leaderboards.

Probably because No one plays the game anymore.

You can wait A long time to get a game even if you Host one.



Not to mention the fact that hardly any new players are buying the game because in the info at the game market place it states that this game has NO MULTIPLAYER.


Sure playing single player is fun. the first 10 times. theres the challenges too, and the survival mode or whatever its called, but at the end of the day Worms is a multiplayer based game. and its f*cked.

You can't base figures off leaderboards because for whatever reason they are well out. All the packs so far have sold well, but Time Attack is not the most popular. Sorry, can't post actual figures on here.

I think so. Retro Pack next week. I'd have preferred unlocking my 350 http://live.xbox.com/xweb/lib/images/G_Icon_External.gif this week...
But I shouldn't complain, free is free and these new landscapes look cool.

I remember one "Pirate"-speechbank, forgot about the rest. These should be the last 3 speechbanks that are available, right after the time attack ones.

Speech banks are Pirate from Worms 3D and two all new ones, a Knight and a Cowboy speech bank.

The Pirate voice bank is good, but about time. There's been no voice to match the Pirate Hat & Pirate Grave for 2 years...

Other two voices are pretty crap.

The pack itself is the best W2A DLC though. I'm really having fun with it. And the achievements are quite challenging as well.

6 crates, 2 supersheep and if any crate is destroyed by you or the enemy the achievement won't unlock. This took me several tries...

Few issues. The voice banks has a * next to it indicating that there are new voices, but there are none to be seen. If new voices are supposed to be there, then please fix this. If there are no new voices, how dissapointing.
Also one fo the new graves is a Pyramid... we already have one of those.

I only play local games when mates are round on a saturday. I'll check em out then.

You could have made new speech banks, similar to the other packs. Perhaps some voice chatting about the "good old days".

'No new voices' is dissapointing but the Retro Pack is the best of the lot as far as campaign is involved. It's the only one that is challenging. Mission 20 gave me some hassle but i've beat it now aswell as the 5 achievements.

Im pretty sure the pyramid is already on worms 2 armageddon.

So is the bluey/grey colored gravestone.
